The resturant is on the third floor in a beautiful mall with a lot of cute shops. The easiest way to get to the restaurant was to take the escalators since the elevators in the front only goes to business offices. The buffet was really good and there's alot to choose from. They have all kinds of Japanese/kyoto food, such... More

Dinner costs about $25/person. There are both Western and Japanese items with a wide selection. There are signs in English at each dish. Everyone in our group was happy with the meal. The dishes were all very tasty. The buffet was quickly refilled. Have no complaints. I would recommend the buffet if you have picky eaters in your group as... More

The quality of food is not good like fried chicked batter was soooo thick and seems some traine has made it. Miso soup too salty. The possitive thing is that if you need a quick fill up with free soda drinks and variety of dessert then you may visit this place.

Being on 3rd floor of building you would have to know where it is or be recommended as you wouldn't otherwise know of its existence. Chefs were constantly working in the open kitchen & the food was very fresh & topped up regularly. I even saw 2 bowls of food put in the bin when a new batch was ready... More

Great buffet at Kyoto. We were there for lunch while visiting Kyoto. It has both Japanese and Western style food. After weeks of Japanese food, it was just nice to eat tasty pizzas, pastas and other western food. Soft drinks, and ice creams were included, as well as big selection of desserts, and fruits.

A nice stop with a good selection of Japanese and western food. Non alcoholic beverages are included. Good selection of coffee. Excellent dessert buffet. Can get pretty busy even at 1PM. Nor a maximum sitting limit of an hour for lunch buffet.

Disappointing. Only reason to go is if you want to drink unlimited amount of alcohol for a fixed price. Otherwise expensive and lower to average quality food.

Staying in Shimogyo-ku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shimogyo-ku is centered around the busy train hub, Kyoto Station. A nexus for commerce, shopping, dining, and hotels, the Shimogyo-ku area is infused with tourists and local business travelers, making it a competitive location for ever-new commercial structures. The shops and cafes here are chic and trendy, as a result, with many recognizable chains. Commuters flood the Shimogyo-ku area twice a day, and with Kyoto Station itself being a modern mega-complex and an architectural marvel, this neighborhood is one of the most contemporary and energetic areas that the city has to offer. Buildings here look futuristic, and huge department stores, shopping arcades, and public meeting spaces provide every possible convenience. It is also nearly the only place in Kyoto where rooftop dining and socializing is available, completing its modern tone.
