Very close to the rail station. Small, very smoky, and loud. Good for a beer. But the mixed drinks are micro servings and the food is second rate.

We visited twice. The first nite there was a small band and the place had a line waiting outside. Drinks are average price for Japan and they offer beer from other countries as well. we had food the second nite and it was ok. Great...More
....to stay and eat? That's because it's small, smoky, noisy and tight. So, a nice small bar/pub drinking option it was...... then off somewhere else for dinner! YMMV
If you can't handle the noddles and sushi this is a tiny pub at the back of Kyoto station that's very. Welcoming . Good range of beers and cocktails and the food looked OK too
