Went there for buffet lunch with Thai friend, very disappointed. We left after 15 min. The venue is ok, service too, but the food terrible. Those who wrote "authentic Thai food " in the previous comments probably never been Thailand or are friend of the owner ! If you look for real Thai food, don't go there.

1,200yen for the lunch buffet is a steal; the first bite of massaman curry was so good I yelled cuss words. Thank god I was sitting outside! The curries they have are definitely authentic, at least the base/broth brought me back in time to my 3 months in isaan province Thailand. The coconut milk pudding and mango jelly is also... More

I found Krungtep from another TripAdvisor review, on my search for Gluten Free food in Japan - it's not easy. Cosy, homey feeling in the restaurant, polite staff & delicious food. We had Pad Thai(with chicken instead of shrimp) & Massaman Curry with rice. It was yummy & gluten free! Plus two drinks and it cost ¥3,300($35ishAUD). Serving sizes are... More

We order a few dishes, all were good and tasted authentic bar the hot spicy prawn soup (Tom yum) which was very watery compared with other soups I've had in the past. Other than this the food was good, and the location is ideal right on the water.

I've been there twice. And I always order tom yum goong and soft crab and vegetables. The taste is very good, and staff are very kindly.! The restaurant is in the middle of sightseeing place and beside the river, you can easily to find it.! And I think you will be like it, when you go there and eat.!

The staff are friendly and speak English. The menu is also in English. They accept credit cards so you don't need to carry all that cash through the crowded areas in Dotombori.

A business group which included a Thai native chose this place in Dotonbori. She said the food was authentic. We just said it was good! The papaya salad was a nice blend of sour and spicy. The Tom Yum was a little spicier than expected and a little less sour than I prefer. We also had ground chicken with herbs,... More

Krungtep is a fun restaurant in the Dotombori district of Osaka. It is where there are lots of bars and restaurants and good nightlife. The food is no frills but good Thai food which is not too expensive. Very good red curries and vegetable dishes and the steamed fish was excellent.

I've only been here lunchtimes but they've got an all-you-can-eat Thai buffet for 1,200 yen which is actually a little over the average businessman's lunch budget in the office district. The quality is decent although not the best but if you're looking to fill up and get your money's worth, this is the place!
