This is currently the largest restaurant at the NC Zoo and has the larger variety of menu items. It can be crowded on major holidays and weekends. Extremely small restroom for volume of business it has. Ice cream and pizza are also located here.

The junction is a great place to stop as it is in the middle of the zoo. It has plenty of seating and getting the food did not take to long. It is basic American food that kids will like.

We found that we could have salads with chicken, nice ham and cheese on pretzel rolls and great horseradish sauce. Otherwise the usual-hamburgers,etc.

It's fast food and a bit overpriced but I suppose there is some additional overhead being at the zoo. While it's fast food, it isn't junk food (yes you can get that too if you want it). My wife and I enjoyed a rather nice ham and cheese sandwich and fruit cup, I you want to lug your own food... More

We packed plenty of snacks but wanted a quick bite so we went for the burger and fries...Yum! Too bad the drink wasn't included with the price.

Order and eat picnic style. Mostly sandwiches, but very tasty and not boring. Good choices for kids with PB & J and fruit choices too. Indoor and outdoor seating choices.

Not bad, but limited menu. Typical prices for "theme park" fare. Some vegetarian options. Food made to order in most cases. Some salads and sandwiches other than burgers, hot dogs and chicken tenders.

just like the title says the place was too expensive for what was offered. The food didn't taste bad, but it wasn't anything special either.

Okay, so the Junction Springs Café at the North Carolina Zoo isn't the best. Certainly not the worst when you're hungry, but far from the best. We smelled the food before we got to the junction, and it definitely lured us in, but I was a bit disappointed to find that my meal would be provided by Sodexo. I was... More

But, the Junction is pretty good. And, it is better than the other restaurants and snack bars available at the zoo. If you are looking for a quick bite and chance to rest your feet, then this is a good stop.
