really flavorful coffee - I had a mocha latte and it's one of the better ones I had. Would be a fun place to read or work but I was on my way out of town so I got it to go and strolled down the street.

Wonderful folks. Great coffee. Enriching events. Life is good. It really is a coffeehouse in the best sense of the word. A place to write, have a conversation, or take in something coffeehouse-art-ish. Really a great enrichment to the community. Stands up to any coffeehouse out there.

Got an Ice Coffee w/Hazelnut...was very good, not quite as strong as I like, so if you like strong get a shot of Espresso in it.

They do know how to make a great latte here and it has a great vibe! Students studying with their coffees all around and sharing the wifi. Entertainment in the evenings. Recycle friendly.

After a lovely hike in Hocking Hills State Park we made our way to Athens where we found a more desirable Ohio university where you would be a Bobcat...much nicer than a Buckeye I think. Found this great coffee shop. Want coffee? Get it here.

Donkey is a nice place to hang out. Anybody who frequented a coffee shop when in college will instantly recognize that atmosphere -- a strange mix good and bad coffee (and teas) served by enthusiastic folks, plenty of low lighting and well-worn (but not grimy) seating. You can come to read, work on that assignment due tomorrow, or just watch... More

Enjoyed a quick trip here for coffee with family. We had two little ones with us and 4 adults. The staff was very accommodating, and the space is great for finding a quiet nook or playing one of their board games. Our party enjoyed all kinds of beverages - smoothies, steamers, iced coffee, and speciality drinks. Yum! If I lived... More

I was visiting the Hocking Hills area and wanted to get some dinner in Athens. Came here for an after dinner coffee. I am so glad I did! It was a weekday night and not so busy. Great coffee and whatever they were baking for the next morning smelled magical too!

Once of the very best places to hang out, relax and think in this intellectual-heavy university community. The Donkey is welcoming all the time to anyone; comfy couches invite you to relax; well positioned tables encourage conversation, or quiet contemplation. The owners opened this space for people; they practice what they believe by using locally-sourced foods, responsible ownership and stewardship... More

I love a good cup of joe and there are very few options for a good cup in Athens. Over the years of drinking coffee I have grown accustom to a good strong cup of coffee to wake up with and a good strong cup in the afternoon to keep me going till its time for bed. They have the... More
