Wife and I shared the Regular sampler for dinner. We had the cole slaw and the loaded mash. Cole slaw was made to be less saucy than many others and less sweet. Much appreciates. The loaded mash is one of those sides that you would drive a long ways just for the mashed potatoes with lots of cheese and big... More

We had lunch at Uncle Jacks Bar BQ yesterday and it was the best Bar BQ that I've had in Oregon. The ribs fell off the bone prefect! My husband raved about the pulled pork. Their baked beans were amazing at least 3 different kinds of beans . Outstanding !

The person that owns Jacks is almost always there. If this was any place but Amity she would be so successful she would never be there. She does the barbecue out back. All the food is new everyday. I like the ambience sort of??? Peanut shells do not set my heart a fire. The food does, it is straight from... More

I really enjoy good BBQ and used to be pretty good at it in my former life, so when I ran across a review for Uncle Jack's BBQ in Amity, I couldn't wait to grab my friend and go there for lunch. First of all, I was surprised by what a small restaurant it is and how stinking cute and... More

So we drove one way over an hour to try this restaurant. We walked in the door and all the available tables were dirty and only two tables were occupied. We were asked if we wanted a table cleared for us. Duh what a silly question. Don't people usually want a clean table?? So before we could even answer the... More

After a previous visit I was excited to eat at Uncle Jacks....I even though the "whatevers left" deal was clever.Come to find out many of the items are store bought...not even made in house. An example would be the macaroni salad. It resembled the kind that you can find in crappy grocery stores everywhere..the kind that has virtually no taste... More

Finally had occasion to try this, and was quite impressed. Two pounds of meat and two pounds of sides with six dinner rolls for $30? Wow! We had brisket and pulled pork and both were tasty and smoky. The bbq beans were excellent, and the chicken chili was quite yummy too. We had leftovers after feeding 5 people!

No, but you could say its very good or even great BBQ. Four of us went to try it out on a Friday nite, there was one couple already eating and by the time we left all 6 tables were full. One gal behind a open bar plating the food and a waitress took great care of us and the... More

For a small town Amity has two don't miss places. The Blue Goat (see my previous review), and Uncle Jacks BBQ. it is a small take out or eat in BBQ restaurant. I am always searching for real authentic BBQ joints everywhere I go. This place take the time and pride to do it real and right. The prices are... More

Stopped here for lunch on my way from Corvallis to Portland. Had missed them before because they are not open on Sunday. I had a brisket sandwich with the spicy sauce - the brisket was great - moist, cut in chunks, with just the right amount of sauce on a good sandwich roll. I could only eat half of it!... More
