The food was really good. The service was quite attentive. The only downside were the prefabricated french fries. The garlic fries would have been much better with fresh cut french fries.
Thanks so much for visiting Louie's and taking the time to post a thoughtful, positive review. And thanks for the suggestion! Tom, Manager Louie's More
was very loud, the hamburger and fries were good, and our waitress was very accommodating when we asked if we could change tables
Thank you, Billy, for the comments and the review. Sometimes it (happily) does get very busy at Louie's... and a little loud. We're glad we could change your seating to give you a better experience. Thank you for visiting us...we hope to see you again soon. Tom Manager, Louie's More
This is basic pub food -- but is very well done (how many times have you been to a place that messes up the basics?). Louie's always gets it right. This time I just had a salad, but it was filling. Always excellent and friendly service (unlike many restaurants in Ashland, they really seem to care about customers' business). The... More
Thank you so much, Scott, for visiting Louie's and taking the time to write a thoughtful, positive review. I have shared your review with our staff...smiles all around! Tom Manager, Louie's More
We always stop at Louie's Restaurant for lunch when we're visiting in Ashland. We share their Jack Daniels burger (on a gluten-free bun) accompanied by their sweet potato fries. It's just enough for a light lunch or dinner before heading for a play.
Thank you so much for your continuous support of Louie's! And thank you for writing about your experience! Tom More
While in Ashland Oregon for the Shakespeare festival and a rainy day we dashed into Louie's at the encouragement of the door person. This is a typical lunch place but with lots of vegetarian and gluten free choices. They have cocktail concoctions that have titles to go with each of the Shakespeare plays . I had a hamburger but instead... More

I cannot undo anything at this point, but will use your comments to make the necessary improvements. Regarding pricing: we do list all of our... More
Lots of people coming and going with takeout was a good sign. We loved the house “recession wine” special - a big glass for $4. The ($12) chicken skewers (four) were moist and tasty, with a big scoop of brown rice and a serving of fresh salad. I wished the peanut sauce was a little less salty, and that the... More

Food was acceptable, if a bit bland. The serving staff was inattentive — details of order were forgotten, had to ask twice for water and cutlery. Perhaps it was just an off night, as I overheard the patrons of a nearby table complaining to their waiter. The staff was polite, and attended to detail when asked, but seemed distracted.
Dear RDB2004: Please accept our most sincere apologies for your experience. It is definitely not the way we'd like to have your experience remembered here at Louie's. I'd like to make things up to you and make our amends. Would you please message me back so that we move this conversation forward? Thank you, Tom DuBois More
Burgers are not good. Blue cheese burger instead of having Blue Cheese had a teaspoon of Blue Cheese dressing on it. Could be so much better.
Thank you, nepainter, for taking the time to review Louie's. I'm so sorry your burger wasn't to your liking. Would you please clarify something for me? We don't have an item called the Blue Cheese Burger, and to make sure I give proper direction to the staff, would you clarify what you ordered? Thank you, Tom More
The food was very good and quickly served. Prices were average for the area but they do have a $6 burger that is very good in addition to the more expensive offerings. We were there for a late lunch. My only complaint is that even though it is a pub, I would prefer that my children don't overhear the bartender... More

Thank you for letting me know about the inappropriate comments made by the bartender. I am so sorry that you had to endure that experience. I will make sure to speak with him. Thank... More
