A local friend suggested we meet here for coffee and it was a pleasure to do so. Great coffee, pastries and other fare.

Skip the sterile one in every city Starbucks and walk one block away to this place! Love everything about it - the best espresso drinks in town, good baked goods and bagels, friendly staff, cozy sitting area, New York Times and local papers to browse...More
The pastries are the thing here. I never had a croissant so rich before. I didn't wander into the sweet things, but my friends who did certainly looked like they were in heaven. The coffee and tea was only ordinary.
Stopped at this tiny cafe for a change from the "buffet breakfast" at the motel. The croissants looked good, so we got 1 each. They were amazingly crispy and buttery. We mentioned to the guy behind the counter how good they were and he told...More

Friendly staff, good coffee. Scrambled egg was cooked in a microwave and rubbery. Yogurt/granola was good. No crowds - locals hang here.
My husband enjoys a very special extra dry skim cappuccino and enjoys challenging baristas to decorate the foam with art. Cafe 116 does a lovely job--this time a spider web. They also do fine lattes.
