They have great wraps, salads, and sandwiches. The have an outdoor area to eat, but on a 100 degree day, I chose to do takeout and eat in my hotel. The service is quick, and prices are very reasonable.

Always good hot dogs and polish sausages and fast service. Nice to sit outside on nice days and watch people go by.

Situated on the intersection at the core of downtown Ashland, you are sitting in an open air coffee shop that feels like Hawaii on a sunny day. Its popular and can be crowded.

I visit the Water Street Cafe almost weekly when it is open--they do close in the winter months. I absolutely LOVE ordering their Cafe Cup (I get it everytime), which has your choice of white or brown rice, fresh tomatoes, cilantro, avocado, black beans, cheese, and Cafe Yumm Sauce. I also like to order the soft pretzel with cheese, which... More

perfect quick fix for my coffee addiction. I was just about to leave Ashland and didn't want to do the Starbucks thing when I could support locally. AND they had a bathroom. Coffee al fresco and a trip to the bathroom before my 250mi drive. Thnks WSC!

Sometimes, when we go on walks of downtown Ashland, we like to stop here to get lunch. We usually order a Hot Dog, some chips, and a couple lemonades. The food and drinks here are pretty tasty, but the hot dog was a little too big for me to eat. Fortunately, I did like the Doritos and Lemonade that I... More

This is what it is - a humble small coffee, sandwich, and salad stand with about a dozen tables with umbrellas for shade, located on the main street running through Ashland. So for the reviewer that complained it was loud ... um ... what did you think it was going to be? It's kind of like visiting the OSF and... More

Water Street looked like a good option for a quick afternoon caffeine pick-me-up. It turns out that its location in the center of won was so noisy that we couldn't hear ourselves think. The espresso was mediocre too, alas. Strictly for emergencies.

I am very sorry you found our location in downtown Ashland noisy. Being in the heart of the town, we offer a unique outdoor perch from which to watch the hustle and bustle of our town which sometimes may include things out of our control such as delivery truck running while they deliver their goods to other businesses, musicians on... Walking around downtown Ashland is what you do - shopping, window gazing, looking up at the hills, gawking at the buskers, thinking about the plays you'll see in the next week - it's a wonderful place to live and to vacation. The Water Street Café is certainly part of the whole experience. It's an unusual, outdoor café, nicely shaded and... More
