Ample parking in rear of restaurant. Nice sign out front but windows dirty, went in anyway. Wood walls show fading where pictures hung at one time. Had the cabbage roll with chop meat and rice. Cabbage was over done and meat had to be cut with a knife? Not tender. Seemed to be old? Sauce was not bursting with flavor.... More

Got here early on a Saturday, 4, so it was not crowded. We were 1 of 4 tables in here. Waitress was friendly and nice but seemed behind. They should of had more German beers on tap, only had 3. A lot in bottles though. My Zigershnitzly was a little dry. The dinner bread was cold not warm. Very dated... More

Our server was very friendly, kept our drinks filled, and she checked on us at appropriate intervals. The Weiner Schnitzel was excellent. However, we had veg blend that was so soft you didn't need to chew them and something called potato dumplings, which were terrible. The cherry streusel was very good.

My father spent time in Germany when he was in the Army. He says the food is authentic. I love to go there. The portions are large. They did make some cuts to keep prices down. Like you no longer get a cup of soup with your meal. But you get everything else that you use to. It has a... More

I had been here in 2000 and was not impressed but went again because my husband is a German fan and really wanted to have some German food. The place looked the same as it did in 2000. This is not a good thing as it looked dingy and run down in 2000. The windows were filthy, there was dust... More

It's October and all I could think of was going to the local festival for German food. I was surprised to see no crowds at the Agricultural Center where the festival was supposed to be then learned I was a week late! With my taste buds all set, I went on Trip Advisor to find the closest German food and... More

I was camping nearby and wanted to try a local restaurant. I was suprised to see an empty restaurant at 7p.m. on a Friday. The bar was packed, though. I had jagaer schnitzel, fries and salad. My 6year old daughter had grilled cheese. We both loved our food. They had fries that were the best I ever had at a... More

Not to be missed- the sauerbraten is to die for. The beer cheese is out of this world. The green goddess dressing is superb, and don't miss the Black Forest Cake.

Stopped in on the way to a sporting event. This is a charming restaurant located right on Route 30 in Abbotstown, PA. We were the first to be seated in the dining room at 5pm. We were seated and the server was print with our drinks. I ordered the jaegerschnitzel with sauerkraut on the side while my wife ordered a... More
