I heard about this restaurant for years, but did not eat there until last week. We had a party of 5 and were seated immediately by the friendly waitress. She then served us wine glasses as we had 2 bottles of wine. Food was all delicious, homemade and hot. My husband and I split a spinach pie for appetizer -... More

This place is casual, affordable and family-run. The food is absolutely amazing and consistently so. I'm a huge fan of eastern Mediterranean food in general (Greek, Cypriot, Arab, Turkish) and highly recommend this place. Seriously anything you get will be delicious. They do run out of things which is a testament to how popular their food is.

This place is great. It's not fancy, but the food is prepared fresh for each order. This is a family owned and operated establishment. The service is very good and it often feels like you're getting served by family. They cook their grilled meats over an open flame and they serve amazing salads and appetizers. The desserts are made on... More

My husband and I really enjoy middle eastern food. We have been to the Damascus dozens of times over the years and tonight's meal was great, as usual! This family owned restaurant never disappoints. Everything is made in house, and fresh! Service is very attentive and the food is served quickly and hot! Portions are great and tonight we took... More

This is an old world family run restaurant. The food is authentic and delicious. If you are looking for a great simple place to get great Greek food this is the place. Don't expect anything fancy. This is all about the food. Parking may be an issue as this is located in a residential neighborhood in Allentown.

It was a nice surprise when I was told we would be dining at Damascus. I didn't have any expectations, and am very particular of the fattoush! (I have a loyalty to one in the area). So I didn't expect to love it so much. The fattoush was so refreshing and I would be happy to order it again! I... More

Everything about this restaurant is pleasing. The food is absolutely authentic and refined. BYOB allows you to pair food with your favorite beverage. The service is friendly and attentive. Their appetizers are amazing and their platters are delicious. Finish up with some Turkish coffee. I've lived in Allentown most of my life and since I moved to DC have found... More

The lamb here is so succulent and tasty, I've never had better. Home-made desserts, are fresh and delicious. All the sides: arnabit, babganoush and fatoush salad are really good too. All this plus BYOB! This is a casual "mom + pop" small restaurant where you will find yourself at home and well fed.
