Had lunch there at work. I don't like to do pasta for lunch so I figured a salad was a good choice. I have heard nothing but good things about Lena's so I was hopeful. Well for $9.75 I got a container of soggy iceberg lettuce, 4 cherry style tomatoes, a handful of fries and 5 or 6 strips of... More

A groups of friends and I stopped here for lunch between working sessions. We all had the lunch specials for the day which included stuffed rigatoni or spaghetti with meatballs. It came with either a salad or apple sauce and we had fresh bread on the table as well. We all enjoyed the meal, we had a great server and... More

Visited on the recommendation of an employee at the Horseshoe Curve historical site. Everyone was friendly the food was very good and servings were substantial. Would go again!

Had the special of course spaghetti and meatball, the best in town. It's in the shady part of town, the inside needs updated but the food is the bomb. Staff is family friendly.

If you are looking for a 'dining experience' Lena's is probably not for you. It is a small, non description restaurant tucked away in a residential/commercial part of Altoona. Seating is tight, its often crowded and there can be a wait. No extensive wine or beer lists, just the basic alcohol choices, but the food is why folks come. The... More

I ABSOLUTELY love Lena's....the best homemade pasta, family atmosphere, friendly staff, always neat and clean. Try the homemade pasta, meatballs and house salad for a party in your mouth!!! I have been coming here for at least 20 years and have never once been disappointed. Do your self a favor and stop into this pleasant family owned and operated restaurant.... More

Hidden gem. Nothing fancy, but above average Italian food at an affordable price. Home-made wheat pasta is delicious.

This is a hidden gem. The appearance may be rather plain, but the food is outstanding. Pretty much everything is home-made and wonderful. I highly recommend it

I've been to Lena's numerous times because the food is fabulous. However, we waited by the door (to be seated) and was TOTALLY IGNORED In EXCESS OF 10 MINUTES by the entire wait staff & the manager. Too rude to even acknowledge our presence. The restaurant was busy, and I have no problem waiting on a busy Saturday night at... More

Stopped in for a working lunch with colleagues. Had the ravioli and a meatball with sides of bread and a small salad. Others had spaghetti with a meatball and also side of bread and small salad. The portions were good, house dressing was also good. Sauce on the ravioli was sweeter than my liking, which was disappointing. The atmosphere is... More
