Went with local friends who said it was an off night. Fried pickles were ok, burgers were ok, fries were good, staff were very friendly.

It's ok for a quick burger and you can choose from a lot of toppings. They were a little on the slow side and harly any one was there. A little expensive but the food was ok.

No precooked frozen french fries here - they hand cut and make them from scratch - and they are fantastic. Their burgers are really good, a lot of options. I don't know where they order their buns from, but the half cow on white with cheddar and bacon is my teen son's favorite. Burgers and fries sold separately, so if... More

I was looking for a good burger near Abilene Christian University. I read good things about Wholly Cow and decided to take a chance. This is definitely a case of not judging a book by the cover. On the outside it does not look like much, inside it is still a very simple place. The food is the star of... More

Wholly Cow always delivers with great food and service. I usually get the half cow burger on the jalapeno bun. On this last visit, however, I ordered the chicken sandwich with a jalapeno bun. The chicken was cooked perfectly; it was just as good as the burger.

As a visitor to Abilene I was informed by the locals that this place was awesome for burgers so we took our family and we were not disappointed. Food was awesome, staff was nice, and even had a payroll in the back for the kids. The decor gave it a burger shack, picnic feel. So throw on some t shirt/jeans... More

Time and time again-dine in or take out- this is just about the best burger I've ever had! Highly recommended! They also have a small selection of craft beer.

Three of us visited Wholly Cow the other day. Each of us ordered a burger and we split an order of fries and onion rings. The food is good, but it needs more flavor. I had a burger with double grilled onions, double green chiles, and pepper-jack cheese, on a jalapeno bun. That burger should have a strong, delicious flavor.... More

We try to eat gluten free (kids seem to have better behavior when not eating gluten), and Wholly Cow has a gluten free bun. Great! Got burgers and fries all around. Gluten free buns, to me, can run the gamut from cardboard to chalk dust, so typically you get what you get and you don't throw a fit. This bun... More

Went with our children and grandchildren. They didn't spend anything on the décor but my blt was good and the sweet potato fries were good. The rest got burgers and rings and they did look good. But, the best part is-- they have a room in the back with chalkboard walls. The kids had fun writing on the walls (something... More
