This place was right across the street from my hotel, Holland Hotel, and I was starving, and pizza sounded great! I was not disappointed. They have lots of choices on the menu, including sandwiches and pasta dishes. Beers were around 3 bucks each; nothing on tap. The pizza was great!!! Made with fresh ingredients and not greasy...had a interesting but... More

My dining partner had a "hand tossed" pizza. He doubts it was. Or, if it indeed was, it was hand tossed several days earlier. Meanwhile, the bread used for my marbled rye sandwich was dry and headed towards stale. The spinach and artichoke soup was, as I had feared, dip of the same variety - watered dow. The salad was... Alpine is quite a remote town. The presence of the university surely helps enlivening the town, but still, there are very few restaurants, and most of them close early. Guzzi Up closes at 10pm, which for an Italian is unbelievable, but here it’s one of the latest. We arrived at Guzzi at almost 9pm, there were still some diners, but... More

Don't know what the title translates to, but it was great. Without question the star for us was the edible orchid and blue cheese salad. That said, the thin crust pizza was GONE, no leftovers. Ok, good house Chardonnay and prosecco. Recommended.

This small restaurant is very busy, partly because there are few competitors. It features pizza, which is very good. Many pasta and salad dishes are on menu. My sausage and peppers on linguini was drowned in marinara sauce and the linguini was slightly overcooked. Prices are reasonable. Service was good.

Excellent casual place with unexpectedly good Italian menu, open till late. The staff is very friendly and service was quick. The thin-crust pizza is tasty and toppings are really good. Add this to numerous cold beers to choose from and you're in for a great evening. We even returned a few days later and had a different pizza for take-out.

Great pizza! Not much else to say about this place, just very tasty pizza. Friendly staff, not too loud in this smaller venue.

We came in to kill some time. Bartender was great! Nice college kid who was diligently cleaning the bar area and glasses...something I always watch for. Cocktails were spot on. Music was nice. Great appetizer of bread sticks. Great conversation. Very happy we found this little haven.

Decided to stop by here on our last evening in Alpine. Pretty good Italian food - certain pasta dishes can be half-ordered. Both my husband and I had pasta and the meatball marinara and garlic basil pesto were delicious! The guitarist was a great touch - played the 60's/70's tunes and we specifically picked a back seat to be able... More
