Good, REALLY, REALLY good & authentic street Tacos...are a little hard to find. Jalisco is the place to go. I had 3 different ones, Pastor, Fajita & Carne, with onions, cilantro & of course limes! My meal was accompanied with arroz & charro frijoles! Their Salsa & Green sauce is unparalleled...one cannot help oneself from eating that WHOLE chip basket.... More

Ate here for lunch and was very impressed. Don't judge it from the outside, it's not fancy. The chips were good, they serve you the regular red salsa but also give you the green sauce, very good. My enchiladas were great, and the portions were good sized. My service was wonderful and it won't break your wallet. I will come... More

From the unique green and red salsas served in abundance, to some of the best tasting authentic Mexican cooking found around Athens, this little gem of a place is often overlooked - even by the locals. If you are wanting fancy, drive on. If you are wanting great food with friendly service and a location you can recommend to others,... More

The food and service are great, i had stopped going here due to the building falling apart. Now that it is going through a remodel, I thought I would try it again. Tacos, I tried were Carnita's, Barbocoa, and Tongue. The Avacado Salza is very good.

I got a chance to try it out last night. Food was pretty good and portions were adequate. Staff were friendly. Maybe next time I can try some other menu items. My to-go order didn't include chips and dip which I was a little disappointed in.

Great place for breakfast. The machacado compares to the taquerias we experienced when living in Corpus Christi. The American menu breakfast items, however, need a lot of work. Unfortunately, my wife doesn't like this restaurant because of this reason. Who the "bleep" goes to a taqueria to eat boring eggs and potatoes.

Food - I like their pastor tacos on soft corn tortillas with onions, cilantro and avocado. I also like their chips and salsa plus their creamy greenish sauce. Atmosphere - It's a very small restaurant - not fancy in any way, shape or form. The TV is always on and usually playing Spanish channel soap operas. Prices - very reasonable

We started eating at this restaurant when we moved to Cedar Creek lake in 1998. We now live in San Antonio but continue to visit the Cedar Creek area once a month so driving to Athens is worth the trip for the authentic Mexican food. It has ALWAYS been EXCELLENT! Chips are served with a chipotle type salsa and a... More

Chili Rellanos are great I order on cheese and one beef, we like it. Service is fast and freindly. Building needs a face lift inside and out.
