We love being able to get food, drinks and great shakes while enjoying a movie. The updated seating makes for an even more enjoyable couple of hours. The menu could use daily specials to entice us regulars.

It's nice to be able and dine while watching a movie outside of one's home. If you're into "watching a movie and don't disturb mode, total immersion" then you may not like this venue. However if you're into good cocktails, beer, wines and food while watching new releases, then do go. Food selections are very good and we've never had... More

This is favorite cinema but my second best location. My favorite snack is the roasted garlic hummus dip w/ veggies and warm pita bread. Fish and chips and tomato and basil presto pizza are good too - these are the classic! They also have a variety of wine and beers on tap.

Our experience was with management at the Village. The guy was extremely rude to us during the Austin Film festival. An unusual situation since all venues are usually so accommodating. We spend more than 200 bucks there on that day. From now on we go elsewhere.

Have always enjoyed the Alamo Drafthouse concept. Adult beverages and food while catching a good flick. The Village is our favorite. Near our area of town, small (only 4 screens), and clean. Top it off with some pretty tasty food and drink, and what's not to like? Love the fresh buttered popcorn with free refills and the iced hibiscus mint... More

When they say turn off your phone you know they mean business. I do believe the cops would come in shooting if anyone got a text or call during a movie. The menu is pretty great but I simply cannot eat food in the dark. It is all tones of gray and what if someone dropped a hair in it... More

This is our go to for date night activities. The food is excellent. The beer selection is vast. Hubby loves his selection of Pale Ales and is always happy. The collection of films that are not on the current circulation of main stream movies is so much fun. Go, you will love it.

How cannot beat this combination!? This was only the second time that I went to a movie with reserved seating. I love it! Next, each seat has a table and reclining seat; I mean almost horizontal! The bonus is that you are served at your seat. If you buy a soft drink or popcorn, they are "bottomless". The other food... More

Seeing a movie at the Alamo Drafthouse is definitely a great experience. Perhaps not if you are only visiting Austin for a day or two but if it is rainy and you have a bit more time, it's a great activity. They have a full food and drinks menu and I've always had great service.

Go to the Alamo Village ( or any other location) about 1/2 hour before showtime. The time before the movie starts is very entertaining and fun. Alamo programmers curate clips from TV and film on the subject of the movie, on one or more of the stars, of the era, etc. My food of choice is generally the hot wings,... More
