We stopped in because my son heard good things about the pizza. He had a gluten free pizza, my other son had a meatball hoagie, and I had a shrimp po-boy. The food was ok, but the restaurant was so warm that it was almost...More

Really tasty pizza, but pretty expensive. Good selection of beers, fun atmosphere. You won't be disappointed with the pizza, but it is pretty expensive.
We stopped by to take a break from long bicycle ride and get something quick to eat. Server Alan was perfect with quick and pleasant service. Calzone piping hot, while salads very crisp and cold. Although draft beer not available due to technical malfunctions? Hmmm...More
Every trip to Austin we stop at the Mushroom. The greek salad with bleu cheese is AWESOME. Always fresh and crisp. We always order the Holy Shitake/Philosopher as it's our favorite. We heard that Urban Outfitters bought up all the leases on the block. That...More
Husband said the day before we got to Austin "I fancy a Mellow Mushroom pizza", I said "Don't think they have them in Texas". Got to Austin and there we were! The tap beer was only available warm (we've been to other Mellow Mushrooms and...More

This was a really neat place. Unique decor & they played retro 70's good rock music. The pizza was out of this world good. Wait staff were nice & friendly. Would def go back here again.
Well, I've returned to Mellow Mushroom and was very disappointed in the service. They lost our order and were way too lax about making amends. I don't plan on going back. Too many other great pizza places in town. Too mellow for me!
This was OK for pizza and calzones, but certainly not great. I wasn't a fan of the crust--it looked and tasted like whole wheat, even thought we didn't order it that way. Toppings sounded good but weren't all that plentiful. The service was average. They...More
