We came early in the morning to wait in line after missing out due arriving late the previous visit to Austin. This was a really fun experience. Bring lawn chairs and a cooler and make some new friends while you wait up to 3 hours for them to open. Once in the doors you are in for a treat! My... More

I finally got to cross this off my BBQ list and it was certainly worth the wait. I've eaten BBQ all across Austin and Lockhart but this one stands as my favourite. To kill time me and my buddies took some beer, chairs and a pack of cards which made time fly. We got there are 07:00 and were one... More

So my colleague and I were in Austin for business. I had read about Franklin in a magazine so I thought we would hit it up for lunch. We had a 2pm flight so thought getting there at 11am would be fine...oops...there were at least 200-300 people TAILGATING to get into the place at 10:45am! So we choose another location... More

Our first stop in Austin was Franklin Barbecue. We had no idea you were supposed to get into line early and just showed up on a Sunday around 1pm. A super nice server told us there would be food once we got to the front of the line but maybe only sausage. She got us a few beers and we... More

Love Franklin BBQ! PreOrdered a chilled brisket and scored a sliced hot one as well! Love the convenience of preordering and have also enjoyed waiting in line with friends. The food and experience is worth the wait! The brisket is indescribable!

We got up and in line early and were prepared with our lawn chairs and breakfast tacos and dominos and cards. Make some fun out of the wait! At then end is the prize of some of the best barbecue around.

I came here on a Wednesday morning during a work trip. I waited an hour and a half...it was worth the wait! You can buy beer in line or bring your own cooler while waiting. The brisket is unreaaaaal. Also, the people who work there are crazy nice which makes you appreciate the food and atmosphere that much more.

I had to wait in line but it was well worth the short wait. The food was amazing. I found out that you can order online too. I was surprised how quick the line went.

There are plenty of good BBQ places around town without 4hrs line. Brisket is the one to get, others are just average

We got there early to avoid the long lines...ha no such luck but the wait was beyond worth it. The BBQ is out of this world good. If you are ever hungry for BBQ and not some resturant chain version...then this is your meca. I stop there evey time I am in Austin
