we came a few years back and stood online for hours. This time we planned ahead. We ordered our food a month ahead. This skips the line and you go straight to pick up area. The brisket was amazing. The sausage was good. The sides were just Ehh. They have expanded since the last time I went. This is my... More

We made a last minute decision to try and get lunch here. Didn't realize that people had been lining up since about 7:30am in the morning for BBQ. We didn't get there until around 11:00am and the "last man standing" (last person guaranteed food) was a few people ahead of us in line. As we were standing in line contemplating... More

Best BBQ I've had, ever. Eating at Franklin's has ruined BBQ everywhere else for me. I waited in line for over 4 hours to get a taste of heaven, and boy was it worth it. I ordered their beef ribs (to die for, and only available on certain days), brisket, sausage, and pork ribs. It comes with a ton of... More

Been in central Texas For a few years; everyone said I had to go to Franklin. I thought, "meh, who waits for hours for BBQ? Sounds like a tourist trap." I was wrong. Black's and La Barbecue and the rest are super awesome if you don't want to wait in line for 2-3plus hours, but this is an experience you've... More

This was great. they ran out of everything except brisket and sausage but those items where awesome and delicious. Was a little pricey but it was worth it. Good local beer and great customer service. If you are coming to visit Texas try to come to the Capital and enjoy the Succulent meat and great TEXAS SERVICE.

Don't get me wrong, the BBQ was good. The brisket was cooked like butter. But, the pulled pork lacked in flavor as did the sides. Desserts are super cute- but ours were hard to eat. Crust was thick and hard. Would we go back-- probably-- would we wait in line- no

Yes, the brisket at Franklin's is amazing. I've never stood in line for a long time for it—I drive by on misty/rainy days and see if the line is short. I've lucked out a couple of times. I don't think I'd wait in line for 2 hours for it, but 45 minutes, yes. The espresso bbq sauce is great—a different... More

You hear people tell you that it is worth waiting in line for this BBQ and you think, "No way, it can't be worth 3 hours of my time to eat even really good BBQ." Ya, so... YOU are wrong. No other way to say it, it is that good. Waiting in line is fun too.

They served a large group so my rating is probably not accurate to their normal servings. This was at the Westminster luncheon so they served a LOT of folks that day.
