I was so pleased with my visit here. You need to make a reservation. There is no hard liquor, only beer, wine, and sake. The food is exceptional in preparation and creativity. This is not a conventional sushi and hibachi grill. The atmosphere is lively....More

I had dinner here with one of my employees who previewed this place and boasted that I'd never eat sushi the same again after experiencing Uchiko. Up for the challenge, we arrived and waited for about 30 minutes for a table. The hostess gave us...More

It's one of those places that you just don't think of the price. It's all worth the cost. Go during happy hour.

Chef Tyson Cole, winner of the 2011 James Beard Foundation Award for Best Chef Southwest--Thank you Uchi and Uchiko family and friends for your support! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Uchiko, translated as "child of Uchi" from Japanese, is the next restaurant venture for renowned executive chef and sushi master Tyson Cole. Located in central Austin, this second location of Cole's highly-praised Uchi presents the same excellence and energetic atmosphere of the original with some noteworthy additions.
