I love the Thursday happy hour -1/2 off champagne. All day! We enjoyed ours on the patio. Food was good but not amazing. I had soup and salad and husband had steak and fries. Fried oysters were really good tho.

Our 2nd visit! Love this place, we were six and had Haasenpfeffer Stew, Schnitzel, Lobster Risotto, Halibut. All was fantastic. We also had apps of Brotzeit and mussels and the Crack Pie for dessert, plus two wonderful bottles of reserve wine. We were so impressed, and were really happy when Chef Wolfgang came out to say hi to my German... More

We go here every time we are in Austin. Last night I had the wild mushroom ravioli and it was divine. My husband had the rabbit stew and loved it. Great happy hour deals on appetizers and wine made it an outstanding value. Highly recommended!

We were in Austin at the same time as the SXSW, so we wanted something away from the madness, and this fit the bill perfectly. They don't take reservations, so not knowing what to expect, we went early. Lovely location with a view, and a cute, small house feel inside, fairly lights outside and free parking across the street, all... More

The food and service at this European focused restaurant were first rate. The cauliflower soup for starters was exquisite. Our entrees, mushroom ravioli and roast chicken with mashed sweet potatoes and kale were excellent as well. But, the place was so noisy we could hardly hear each other talk. Quite disappointing as we chose this restaurant as it was rumored... More

Lovely food and atmosphere. Can almost never resist the Metzger plate. We also like the mussels. They have a tempting Champagnes Thursday... Outstanding service. Convenient parking, which is free, but if it's a busy night you may have to walk a bit. Nice outdoor seating, too.

My girlfriend and I have just returned from a semester abroad in which she studied in Paris and I studied in Maastricht, Netherlands, a bike-ride away from the German border. This restaurant has a rustic exterior with a modern, elegant interior lit entirely by candles. While the menu was short, presumably to ensure the maximum freshness of each item (part... More

I have been this restaurant many times now, this isn't really a German restaurant. Schnitzel was too deep fried and spaetzel isn't original. I really liked their duck! Interior is nice. Sun light may be too strong at sunset if you are assigned to the table facing the window.

My husband and I tried this lovely place last night and loved it. We love the ambiance and the food is so delicious. I had the ravioli stuffed with mushrooms in a delicate cream sauce. I'm not a ravioli fan normally but I'll be having this dish again. My husband loved his rib steak, which he said was cooked to... More

My husband and I were looking for good food, not BBQ, and not a steakhouse...we read about this place and were very happy we had. Wolfgang is an excellent host, the room is pleasant, low key but a tad noisy. (Hard surfaces and happy, lively diners). We had wonderful rabbit stew with dumplings, delicious schnitzel and beet kraut and started with... More
