We stayed in the Driskill for Thanksgiving of 2016. We ate breakfast only, and the food was great. The setting is similar to the entire hotel, old yet refined. I had the bread pudding French toast. It was great. The Cheese Danish is absolutely perfect. I had the hangover omelet on another day, and it was good. The chorizo was... More

This hotel is lovely, our room was on the small side, but very clean and nicely decorated. The bar area was also very well done and the staff very attentive. The down sides to the hotel were that ther is no pool, a strange thing really and a shame, also the valet parking was very expensive! The location was good... More

Nicer upscale hotel cafe with a good breakfast selection. Waitstaff was quick and the coffee kept coming. Try the multigrain toast. Really nice fruit substitution for potatoes. Kitchen was a bit slow-I like my eggs hotter but a great experience overall.

A very nice dining experience. Six course meal and wanted more but was too full. All the food was excellent. No disappointments.

Don't go to Austin without going to the Diskill! Even if you don't stay here, stroll throughout he lobby and if possible eat at one of their excellent restaurants or have a libation at one of their bars.

No wall insulation between room and next wall. Can hear vividly neighbors on one side. Very Noisey room. In addition the room looks out onto a roof full of huge ugly machinery of the next building and then the next attached brick building is taller so you are facing it. Horrible view!

A very clean and beautiful hotel - they have managed to keep it up-to-date, as well as preserved the 100 year old hotel's heritage. The location is fantastic especially if you intend to enjoy the night life in the adjoining streets (viz. 6th, 7th, 8th Streets). Despite being in the middle of a party scene, the room was very quite.... More

After a concert, we hit the famous Driskill Bar and we were impressed. We did find seating even with a crowd. We loved the drinks, bar menu, atmosphere, and live music. Plus the fact that we could easily make it back to our hotel room!

This was a great dining experience. Our meal was fantastic, the service was friendly and helpful, and the restaurant came highly recommended for good reason!
