Visited in December for a quick getaway. Arrived early, before opening, at LBQ, based upon warnings from friends. Still waited 35 minutes. A bit like a re-positioned corner grocery, with some groceries shelves included. Had brisket (top 10%), turkey (top 20%) and a link sausage...More

Franklins barbecue was closed due to a fire. Our hotel directed us to La Barbecue. The brisket is melt in your mouth delicious! Loved the sausage too. Great guys behind the counter.

Had dinner early - like 5. They were out of cole slaw. Give me a break! Nice people tho. Pickles and beans were too spicy for my taste.

We made it to La Barbecue as one of our stops on our Texas Barbecue Tour. We enjoyed the brisket, pulled pork and great beer selection. Definitely worth a stop

I've been slowly working my way through the top Austin BBQ joints. Five days before my most recent visit, I pre-ordered pulled pork and brisket for later in the week. I arrived at 5:30 to a very short line. Pre-orders don't have to wait. Just...More

Franklin’s is renovating from a fire, so I hit a few of the other highly rated BBQ joints in town. This was easily the worst of the three that I tried. The meat was excessively fatty... I love my fatty meat, but this was literally...More
