The longtime Austin tapas bar permanently closed over Labor Day 2016 Trip Advisor is making me write more so I'm writing more. Too bad - I liked this place when I lived in Austin.

The bartenders are very knowledgable of the variety of drinks as well as the history of some of its spirits. Very friendly and willing to give great advice on what to drink and epitomizes what a professional bar tender is.

It is like your in Spain. The atmosphere is very warm and inviting. The smells are so memorable. The wine list is very extensive, featuring so many choices from Spain and other regions. Educated waiters help you plan out an evening to the nines. Don't be afraid to ask for reasonably priced wines if you do not recognize what you... More

My husband and I love tapas because he eats meat and I do not so we usually come away happy. I had a mojito, which was very refreshing. We had six plates, all better than the last. Husband loved the meatballs. We shared the olives, the asparagus, the mushrooms and the potatoes. I had the spinach empanadas to myself because... More

We ate dinner at Malaga prior to a show at Moody Theater. The location is perfect, in the neighboring block from the theater and they take reservations. Food was good, mushrooms and beet salad were the best. Meatballs were okay. Date/bacon croquettes were pretty good. Not very many wines available by the glass. The table was a bit wide for... More

We love Tapas and try to find them just about everywhere we go. we have great ones in Vegas and Albuquerque and this place is that good as well. Josh was a great server and clued us in on what we didn't know. they have a great wine list and the ambiance is great for a dinner with your honey.

Since this place was not rated that great on yelp and tripadvisor, I was not expecting much, so I was pleasantly surprised. All the tapas we had were very good, as well as the cocktails. I'd certainly go back!

Many, many tapas to choose from. Fantastic atmosphere, especially on the outdoor café area. The wait staff was beyond friendly and went out of their way to answer any questions you might have. They were very attentive with refills, suggestions, and any other issue that arose. This was the perfect location to sit outside for an hour or two, take... More

My mom and I enjoy the tapas restaurant back home so when we saw this place, we decided to try it out. We split 4 different tapas and loved 3 of the 4. Definitely a must try!
