If you want to go back 20 years, this is the place - no changes for the last 20-30 years when we first went to Rosie's. They ran out of chips; never heard of that before in a Mexican restaurant. The service was very good, and the food good. Famous for their tamales, the one I had was unimpressive -... More

Been eating here since the early '90s. Always have the cheese enchiladas and a taco. The rice and bean portions started shrinking a long time ago. Their cheese enchilada gravy had always been the best of the best until they started using poor quality beef. Now, the gravy is full of gristle. Yuk. We complained several times but nothing changed.... More

Been eating here since early 80's and it's still just as good as when I was a kid. No liquor license means BYOB, but that's fun too.

The food here is authentic mexican, it truly is good. Which is sad for the rest of my review. The atmosphere is pretty boring, chairs are super uncomfortable and service is rude. The busboy yelled at my 3 year old to pick up his napkin off the floor (that he accidentally dropped) Yelling at a 3 year old? A busboy?... More

We needed a meal catered at our home for a family reunion with relatives from Georgia, Alabama, Colorado & Texas. My husband talked to Vincent, the owner, told him how many people would be there, told him we wanted fajitas & Vincent handled the rest! The portions were abundant & perfect! All the sides you would get with an order... More

I have eaten here several times and also at its previous tiny location. It has just dropped down in my opinion due to the need to get a lot of things out fast. Today I stopped to go in but then it looked closed. Only 1 car in the parking lot. However, the taco are OK, but you can have... More

My 4 rating is based on the traditional aspect of Rosie's. I love it. No modern trappings. Just pure linoleum table cheezy atmosphere Tex-Mex. But killer TexMex ! Try the Willie's Plate. It's just the right selection and mix. Yes- Willie eats here too. Great old school music piped in as well. A dying breed in the fast paced Austin... More

I almost hate to write this review because you can see that the owners and staff are doing their best. They are very nice. The hot sauce and queso taste out of a can. The nachos were made on taco shells broken in half with a processed cheese. The #2 plate included a taco that my wife said is on... More

Very reasonably priced; Basic atmosphere; Plenty of pictures of Willy Nelson and even a dinner named "Willy's Plate". One in our party of 5 had seen Willy there in person several years ago. Service was very good and the food...... well all 5 of us almost licked our plates clean!
