We are not fancy eaters, so when we have been to this restaurant (there are only 2 in the country - here and Scottsdale, AZ), it has always felt a little overmuch in type of menu and prices. Nice atmosphere.

I love the atmosphere, location (7th and Congress in the corner of the Stephen F. Austin InterContinental hotel) plus very good food, great eclectic selections, great cold brews and wine selections and great service.

As I often stay at the Intercontinental, this restaurant is extremely convenient. It's joined to the hotel but despite that manages to feel quite separate from it and it's by no means just used by hotel guests. I've really enjoyed unwinding there after a long trip and as a means of settling into town. Service very prompt and friendly and... More

Staying at the Intercontinental and thought this was part of the hotel as it is not. Could only sit at the bar but food and service was good.

I was with a colleague for dinner. We ate at the bar. The staff was friendly and efficient. The fish tacos were beyond good. Actually they were the best fish tacos I've ever had. The atmosphere was slightly noisy but not more than other restaurants and bars. I would come here again.

We were in town to have dinner with some colleagues and they suggested Roaring Fork. The service was very friendly, relaxed and efficient. The ambiance was pleasant and perfect for a business meeting - quiet enough that we were all able to talk without raising our voices even though it was a fairly business evening for them. The food was... More

We had reservations for a Sunday (if you are going on Fri or Sat, make your reservations early), were seated on time. The seating is tight in this place... they need to remove a table or two from each section, as the seats are bumping up against each other. We ordered a range of food: chicken, salmon, steak, and fish... More

Went for lunch at the Roaring Fork in a recommendation four hotel. So glad we did. The sliders were amazing. Also ordered the corn. It is a must have. So full of flavor. The restaurant itself was beautiful and had a very upscale feel. Would love to sit by the fire and enjoy a drink and dessert.

The food and service here are excellent. I had the fish tacos and a few craft beers. They were excellent. Several people in our party had steaks and they all loved them. One person had the guacamole and said it was the best that they have ever had.

After visiting the Capital building, we went to the Roaring Fork for lunch. It is a very comfortable Texas atmosphere that is clean and upscale. Wife had the tortilla soup with a beautiful presentation and loved the flavors. My friend had a steak salad which he raved over and I had these green chili pork enchiladas that were simply one...
