Its been a couple of years since our last visit and glad we stopped in again. It was a Saturday night and we got in before a large crowd followed. When I say large crowd around 45-55 people. Even before I review this place again, when was the last time you went to a restaurant with that large of a... More

Overall, my experience here was pretty decent. The food was amazing. I wish I had gone sooner because the pizza was delicious. The spinach artichoke dip was kind of runny and not much cheese. I don't know that I would get that again. The meatball appetizer was tasty though. we were a rather large group- I think about 20, so... More

A usual haunt, tried something different and as usual, it was great. We normally dine on appetizers; but went for the pizza- try it, you'll like it.

We love the pre VB crowd and appreciate your support. We are trying to mix things up and freshen the menu, but keep what's been good for 30+ years going strong! :) Thanks for joining us and for taking the time to leave us feedback. More

We went here after touring the State Capitol. It was recommended by someone at the Capitol and/or Visitor's Center. It was a fairly short walk from that area. Beware though, coming from the Capitol, it was extremely hilly walk down. Not for anyone with health conditions. The place was moderately busy for lunch with both the dining room and take... More

Who doesn’t love pizza? Sometimes you just get that craving—and you know it doesn’t go away. In my home city I have one place that I believe has the best pizza anywhere. However, I was not in my home city when the bug bit, so as usual, I did a little research. Brick Oven sounded good—it was near the hotel,... More

The Brick Oven was only a block from my office so I have eaten there multiple times. Salads, pizzas, pastas are always good and bring a to-go bag because I could never finish. Good value, friendly staff.

We were a little worried when we arrived since the restaurant was dead. However, the food was great! Also, this restaurant has a parking lot which is great if you are staying in downtown and don't want to pay to park or have to walk around the city at night with your kids.

Depending on the time it slows for us between the lunch and dinner rush - but glad that didn't scare you off ;). So happy to hear that you dined with us and yes - our parking is a BIG asset downtown. Thank you for taking the time to send your feedback, we hope you'll join us again. More

We stopped by to eat on a Saturday afternoon and there was only one more family in the whole restaurant. That was strange. The service was great and the food we all had was good. Nothing too good or bad to say about the place. I love that they serve gluten free pizza and pasta, though.

We are right by the capitol and experience our busiest times during the week, maybe a little different than you're used to! Glad that in spite of the quiet you enjoyed your visit and our gluten free options, that's so important to us. Thank you for your review! More

Stopped in before the Pentatonic concert. Meatballs and spinach dip. Way too much bread and sauce, but was good and quick.

Description
The Brick Oven was established in 1982 in downtown Austin. We built the largest wood fired Brick Oven in Texas from original designs, using cast pieces over 100 years old. In 1989 a second location in Northwest Austin was added and a similar sized oven constructed.

Each Brick Oven weighs over 20,000 pounds and burns three cords of oak wood every month to maintain temperatures of nearly 700 degrees. The massive size and high temperatures assure fast, consistent cooking and give our food a unique character and flavor.

We feature house made breads from original recipes, high quality fresh ingredients and are locally owned and operated.
