Friendliest service. Very casual atmosphere. Cozy cafe. These were the pluses of eating at Nubian Queen Lola's. Also, if the other four people who dined with me were doing this review, they would give it four or five stars. They had items like crawfish etouffee, the biggest damn po boy ever, and catfish dinner, as well as sides which included... More

Okay, everybody has to try this place. The owners are sooo friendly, it's like eating at Auntie Lola's house. She said she don't cook with her hands she cooks with her heart and you can definitely taste it. We will definitely be coming back and supporting them. Awesome place!!

I used to go to Louisiana often, and would eat Cajun food while I was there. I missed it after moving to Austin. I don't have to miss if anymore. If you love Cajun food, this is your place.

It is in a safe neighborhood, not the nicest, but it is safe. It is a small place. The owners' story is amazing and her heart is huge. She serves meals to raise money to feed those in need. What a great place to support. It isn't fast or big with colorful decor, but you get a few tables and... More

Remember this is a restaurant with a purpose. It is to support the mission of feeding the hungry. The place doesn't have the room or budget, I am assuming for a huge staff, so for those upset about seeing a note on the door, need to get over it. If you want a fast food experience or an Applebees with... More

I visited this restaurant and at first the area does not look to welcoming and it is small inside..but the service and food was phenomenal! Ms. Lola was so nice and genuine!felt very at home while eating there and love the fact proceeds of your bill go to feed the local homeless!

If you like your food pulled from the fridge and warmed up then go eat here. My Dad was so disappointed in my selection of this place.

The two of us came for a late lunch on a Friday. We had planned to arrive after the lunch crowd had dwindled since there are only 18 seats in the place. We arrived at about 1:30 PM and the place was almost full. We were seated at a small table for two near the back - it was OK... More

I was traveling and did a Google search and ended up here. The food was so good! U have to get the dirty rice! Delicious and authentic Cajun food. The thing about it is..it's a small restaurant and she's the owner and cook. She has a warm amd friendly attitude which is the key to a great cook! So happy... More

Lola is amazing! She has such a big heart and it comes through in the atmosphere of her restaurant and the food she prepares. We had the gumbo and "dirty" rice. What a treat! It is a small restaurant which you would never notice driving by. You have to specifically look for it. Once you find it though, you'll be... More
