Attentive, friendly and efficient service. Nice setting in old house on Main Street. Not far from the Martha Washington Inn and downtown antique shops. Nice menu, wine and great desserts. Will definitely go back.

My wife and I had lunch at the Peppermill both going to and coming from Hendersonville, NC recently because this is a perfect nearly half-way lunch stop and we know we'll get a good meal. We were pleased to see good coronavirus protocols in place...too. We had our lunches on the broad wrap-around porch with good social distancing on both visits.Even during this hot summer, the porch, shaded by a huge deciduous tree, was very comfortable. On the way south I had their chicken tenders with fries - big portion for $10. On the way north, I tried a shrimp pasta dish that was fabulous. I could've eaten more but the portion was appropriate. My wife had their soup and salad combo both ways, her choice going was the marmalade mushroom and returning, the French onion soup and she said both were delicious. Going south had also had a cup of mushroom, always special. We shall return.More

Our dinner was excellent! My husband said the Ceaser Salad was the best he has ever eaten. Try the mushroom marmalade soup, it is wonderful. Services was good.

We shopped here during COVID-19 because it had outdoor seating. It was our first time eating out since the pandemic began, but we enjoyed it! The restaurant is a bit unique and the food was good!! Plus, they have a lawn in front of the...restaurant where our 2 year old was able to run around while we waited on the food.More

We happened upon this place and I am so glad we did! We got in before the dinner crowd and got a special for 2. This was a 4 course option and well worth the cost! The food was very good.

Friendly service. Wonderful soups and yummy sandwiches. We loved the potato soup and mushroom soup. The Thai chicken appetizer was also good. Would definitely visit again.

Visited the Peppermill on the Saturday after Valentines with a 6:30 reservation. We were there in time and were seated immediately. Ordered drinks and the lettuce wrap appetizer. We had tickets for an 8:00 show at the Barter which we told them when we ordered....Three other couples were seated around us in the meantime. The lettuce wraps arrived after 30min (a little long for lettuce wraps) and were delicious. At 7:30 we asked about our entree’s and told they were backed up. At 8:00 they still had not come out and we had to cancel the order because of the show. The three other couples who arrived after us all ate and were leaving. I am not sure why our order was messed up, but it was. The manager apologized and did not charge us for the drinks and appetizer which was the right thing to do. But our dinner did not go well that night.More
