We had such high hops for this place. We came here for dinner on a Saturday evening. The interior was not as quaint as we had anticipated. The server (Alex) seemed to be handling too many tables at once, as it took quite a while...More

Had dinner at this lovely restaurant and was not disappointed. The food was absolutely delicious! While some may feel the portions are small they are so rich and so satisfying that one feels quite full. This is truly a hidden gem and worth checking out...More

Bastille was an outstanding restaurant in its prior location. We visited Alexandria and tried the new place on Fayette but we're underwhelmed. Caesar salad is a french classic. The Bastille version isn't bad, but it didn't hit my mark. The lemon-based dressing was different but...More

Terrific Girls' Brunch on Sunday. Fresh-squeezed orange juice to mix with the inexpensive (yet tasty) sparkling wine. Reasonably priced for healthy servings of excellent food.

Good family & friends brunch spot, with easy seating at 1130 opening, but got busy by 1230-1 PM. Ample free parking. Friendly staff, adequate brunch fare, though limited menu. Decent Eggs Benedict and burger. Off-menu crème brulee was a welcome finish. Moderate price.

On the first trip I stopped here in the summer with an hour to kill and ordered the melon gaspacho paired with a white wine (Chardonnay). The melon was an explosion of summer in my mouth with layers of flavor - guessing here but could...More

Thank goodness this restaurant is within walking distance of my house; it makes it all the more perfect. Old Town is like the Three Little Bears: some restaurants are too much, some aren't enough and then...there is Bastille. With owners and extraordinary chefs on site,...More
