The food was just ok, not worth the price. The fish was salty and rice was greasy. At least the dear I've and views were good.

First night in Alexandria, our concierge recommended and made us reservations at the Chart House. It was a rainy night and very cool, but the restaurant had a warm atmosphere with harbor view. Food was good, but pricey ($120 for two entrees with wine). After taking out a 2nd mortgage, we might go back someday.
The Chart House is one of my favorite restaurants. I visited this location 11 years ago and wanted to go again to experience a little nostalgia. The food and atmosphere were exactly how I remembered it. I will come back every time I am in Alexandria.
We made reservations two days before. We expected it to be a little pricy, we expected for dinner to take a while. I had coconut shrimp(6) with rice and salad- over $40. One kid(16)had just soup one(17)had salad So three full meals with desert- over $260. I don't mind paying for food food but this was just okay. We had... More
I went to Chart House on my last night in Alexandria. We had a 45 min wait but it was so beautiful out we didn't mind. We finally got an outside table, that was great with the full moon water view. delicious food and excellent service, with a marvelous view of the Potomac River and the Old Town Alexandria Waterfront
We had a business dinner at the Chart House. The was some confusion at the front desk since they didn't seem to recognize the event, but once we got that all sorted out we were fine. The service was very attentive. The food was nothing special, however they have beautiful views of the Potomac River.
Delicious lunch with a nice view of the Potomac River at the Chart House. Shrimp tacos were generous on the shrimp and not too much sauce. Fries had a nice crunch. Will definitely go back.
