Not the best or the worst Mexican food I've ever had, had the enchiladas. They have a nice Sunday Brunch menu.

I have eaten at the Mexicali Blues in the past and always had great experiences. This trip was on a Tuesday, which is $5.00 original burrito night, with an extra $.50 getting you pulled chicken or spinach and an extra $1.00 getting you steak. Corona and Corona Lights are $3.00 until 9pm. I ordered up the pulled chocked burrito. Excellent... More

We had not visited Mexicali Blues in several years, as we do not live near it. We were in the area 2/20 and went in for lunch. The food was as delicious as ever! Karen, the gracious owner, greeted us warmly & treated us like old friends. We shared the Yuca con Chicharron - Wow. A huge serving with great... More

Mexicali Blues sits on a corner just below the Clarendon Metro Stop and comes off a little funky/colorful compared to many other local and national chain restaurants in the neighborhood. We like funky/colorful, so we gave it a try for late lunch last week. Happy we did. The enchiladas and chile rellenos were first rate. Big plus was that they... More

Popular corner restaurant. More Salvadoran than Mexican. Food is really very good, freshly made. Tacos and Papusas are the favorite choices. Outside dining when weather is good.

The food here is authentic Mexican cuisine, while also offering some Salvadorian choices. The quality is good, with decent portion sizes. We've been a few times, but I feel as go the Clarendon rents, so do the menu prices... it's gotten a bit expensive for Mexican (3 tacos for $15). Our service was a bit off on this night... everyone... More

Had dinner twice here in the past few days. Both times were very good. Service was friendly and attentive and everything we had was quite good. Loved the papusas and the steak salad was quite good. Definitely recommend!

Great drink specials and street views. Good for people watching. My burrito was good, big portion. The service was bad...waited forever for everything but we were having a good time so we didn't mind. Kid friendly.

This is another excellent venue in Clarendon, just a couple blocks from the Metro. The food is excellent and plentiful. The owner makes three different hot sauces that you should ask for when you order. A couple of the bring real heat but all three are very tasty. Burritos are discounted on Tuesdays so come then and try them out.... More
