We arrived at 1 pm on Sunday and left at 3:30. Dont go on a weekend if you’re in a hurry. We waited 30 mins for a table, 30 mins to order, 30 mins for our food to arrive, and 30 minutes to get a...More

Great selection of hand selected books, and then food! Multicultural atmosphere, large portions, and the sweet potato fries are amazing. Haven’t been to the original in DC to compare, but love this one.

Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Menu has good variety. Price is moderate. Family friendly. Vegetarian options. Also has a great book store within the restaurant area that you can browse while waiting for your table.

What an awesome place. Best thing on the menu hands down are the grits. Not sure how they turn one of the simplest breakfast items in to so much more! The service and atmosphere were superb.

I love the artwork, and the attached bookstore. The food was good, if a little too fancy for my taste. Service was fine, especially considering that we were there for brunch on the Saturday of a holiday weekend. We would go back.

It was packed when we went for lunch on Labor Day. Jose at the front door was very helpful; we ate at the bar because we were short on time, which was fine. Nice selection of beers. Waitress was awesome. Tried the vegan tuna sandwich...More

Visited family in Shirlington and went to “Busboys and Poets” for an early dinner. Our steak salads were very well prepared and the poached pear salad was good; just not as well prepared as the steak salad entrees. Chicken quesadilla appetizer and shrimp appetizer were...More
