We are new to the area, but lots of family in town that recommended Dad's Diner. We decided to give them a try on Sunday afternoon. When we found an empty table we took our seats and didn't see a waitress for at least 10 min, that's when she came over and asked if we had ordered already. Our reply... More

Since this place is listed as #2 on Tripadvisor, thought it would be a good place to eat. Wrong. Too small of a place, the menu is on a chalkboard that you have to stand next to others at their tables while they are eating to read it. That is after you sit down, and no one bothers to come... More

Delicious food and friendly owners who treat you like family. Started by a team of two Dads, this place has a casual atmosphere and the walls are lined with photos of their customers' Dads. It's a cheerful pick-me-up to walk in, take a seat, choose a meal from the blackboard menu and enjoy home cookin'. My favorite breakfast is the... More

In all fairness, I have visited this place twice. The first time I was not impressed, their 'smoked' meats were oversmoked, dry and way too salty. I have lived in BBQ country, so I know good smoke flavor, and this is not it. The potatoes were dry and salty also. I went back after awhile to give it a second... More

This was a quick breakfast for us, and it was great. It's a small family restaurant with lots of charm. The theme is centered around the owners' dad, and travel. There is a massive collection of pictures, that are interesting to look at. The collection of world globes is fascinating. FOOD - very tasty! The menu is on the wall.... More

We spotted Dad's while walking the historic downtown district of Anacortes. Service was great, fast, friendly. The menu on the wall chalkboard made us hungry immediately. I think the key to the food here is the authentic BBQ they seem to use in everything. My wife had the basic breakfast of eggs, potatoes and bacon -- but the bacon was... More

Love this place for having the whole menu on a chalk board and lunch and breakfast are interchangeable. Great coffee and some interesting variations on the eggs, hash and biscuits and gravy offerings. It is had to describe but it does have a lot of local color. Bonus points for 1/2 orders and ala carte

You have to try the hash. We tried both the brisket and pork belly. Yum! Staff was great and we enjoyed our visit.

My favorite place to eat breakfast or brunch when in Anacortes. Best smoked meat. Big helpings. Excellent service. Love this place. If you love meat, you gotta try this place.

Ok, I'm from North Carolina. I know Biscuits & Gravy like I know Chicken-fried Steak. You'll lick the plate clean, trust me. And not be criticized when you do. Plus they serve beer -- WHAT!?! Heaven on earth.
