I think there are new owners to go with the new name. Esteban's was wonderful and so is Real Tequila. The service is quick and very friendly. The food is prepared quickly and is EXCELLENT. I am not a judge of what is real "mexican" food and what is not, but I know this tastes good and there is an... More

If you've been spoiled by really good mexican food, you'll be disappointed here but if you haven't, you'll probably like it just fine. It's very typical Tex-Mex style with hot plates, lots of cheese and unimaginative sauces but it's a great place to take your family and it has an expansive menu with lots of choices for everyone.

Esteban's restaurant is closed. The building has remained as a Mexican Restaurant, now called Real Tequila I believe, and since I have only tried it once I will withhold comment until I can try more than the bland carne asada. My dining companion had theShrimp Diablo and was pleased.

I honestly forgot what I had there. When I go to a Mexican restaurant I've never visited before, I usually have the chile relleno, as a referential dish to compare it with all the other restaurants, so it was most probably that. It wasn't bad, as I would have remembered that, but if I forgot what I had, it must... More

Friendly service, reasonable prices, typical Mexican food, nothing special. I eat there once a week with a Spanish conversation group.

They use factory made taco shells, you know, the ones that disintergrate or get soggy When mine fell apart, they brought me more shells, expecting me to salvage and restuff. Of course the new shells did the samr, soggy and fell apart.. Food is barely average. I won't go back.

Everything here was good. I judge a Mexican restaurant by it's homemade tamales and these were excellent! Good place to bring the grandchildren too.

Coming from the great Southwest, where we have excellent Mexican food, I was pleasantly surprised to find this outstanding Mexican restaurant in Anacortes. I have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed....try it....you'll like it.

I liked it. I sat at the 4 seat bar then took a table. The place was packed by 5:30pm on a Friday. Clientele covered everything from lots of kids to older couples. Some areas had TV, some didn't. Bathrooms were clean. Food was plentiful, inexpensive and good. Could have been spicier for me. This is a basic, cheap family... More

We live in Anacortes so we get to eat at Esteban's a lot. We are in a rut, usually order tacos (ask for all white meat chicken) and enchiladas. But we often go with friends. Last night friends ordered carne asada and beef fajitas. Everything was really good, service is great, prices are right. Can't go wrong.
