The place has an extensive drink list and it seems to be a good place to have some cocktails. I also ordered some dinner-a pork dish. The meat was overcooked and pretty dry. I could deal with that though. What irritated me was that when the bill came there was a 3 real charge for the DJ, which was ridiculous... More

Its very common for meat in Brazil to be over done, that disapoints a lot of meat eaters so we take care to get that bit right, perhaps one slipped through. Our new pork dish is marinated 12 hours and then roasted its and reheated on the hotplate with some yummy juices from the roasting time this is a big hit .Perhapsthat... More

A nice little restaurant in a more quiet part of Salvador's historical center. They serve great moqueca at a reasonable price (for this area). Good selection of beer.

I ate here twice during my four days in Salvador. The shrimp moqueca (coconut milk stew) is so delicious that I had to go back for it. The portions are generous and you can sit outside and enjoy the sounds of Pelourinho while you eat. Would definitely recommend!

This a good cafe/bar linked to the nearby hostel. Its run by an English guy who is friendly and efficient. Clearly very popular with younger people on a budget - food is good quality.

The restaurant is great, the staff is super nice and the food is absolutely yummy. Burgers are great, but the Moqueca is definitely THE best dish of this place, and one of the best I was lucky enough to taste in Bahia. And the Caipirinhas are absolutely perfect as well!

Had the such to bump into this place in July while travelling to Salvador - service is really good, warm, the waiting time is more than okay, and the burgers are REALLY GOOD !! I recommend it to anyone travelling in the city :)

We stayed at Hotel Solar das Artes, directly opposite Bar Zulu and we were pleased to have this as our 'local' for our short stay in Pelourinho. Food is cooked fresh, the staff are friendly and the caiprinhas are great! Highly recommend if you're after fresh sandwiches, burgers or local fare.

Just spent few days in Pelourinho and the Zulu Bar was the best option, with very fresh hamburgers and very good beer's option ! Totally recommended

We hid there from the rain and what a great coincidence it was! The lunch set menu was affordable yet tasty. We were also positively surprised by the local craft beer selection. The Chocolate IPA was absolutely delicious! The bathrooms were recently renovated and the whole interior is cosy and inviting. We will definitely be back.

So far the best restaurant we found in Salvador. Food was great, portions generous as they usually are in Brazil. Food came fast, in around 10-15 min. They have a pretty good deal for lunch set valid until 14h. The cook kept signing inside, which made us joke with the waiter who claimed she was shouting, not singing :) We... More

There is no other place like Zulu in Pelourinho and we are very proud of this fact.We offer vegetarian and international food as well as the typical Bahian dishes that everyone wants to try along with one of a kind cocktails and refreshing juices. We take after hip places around the world and understand the value in costumer service, comfortable ambiance and fun crowds. Come here to watch sports TV, use our wi-fi or find out interesting tourist information while enjoying a delicious Caipirinha. Sit outside and enjoy the breeze or sit inside and jam to the music, your choice!
