This is one of the rare places in Belo Horizonte where fish is served. The specialty of the house in the 'Moqueca' a soup prepared with coconut and palm-oil with shrimp, fish, crab or a mixture. It's quite expensive but it is a typical dish. If you don't take a moqueca the fish is quite plain nothing fancy and certainly... More

I went with a business associate. The service was exceptional and the food was fantastic. This is one of those places that I will put on my "return" list for every time I come to BH. Highly recommended.

I went there for a dinner with two collegue. The tipical ensopada was very good and casquinha de siri was delicious. The price is high but the service was definitely over the average.

Be prepared to empty your wallet as this place is outrageously expensive. BUT if you can overlook the bill and have fun with the amazing food and great ambiance, not to mention the nice and attentive service, you'll be fine. If you are not familiar with Bahia food the acaraje is a must try. Theirs is simply the best you... More

This is a typical Brazilian restaurant, highly recommended for tourists and those into seafood. Bahia cuisine. Service is sometimes slow, but worth it.

The first time I've ever eaten seafood was in Alguidares - and I couldn't stop since then. Food is always perfect and the service is flawless. I strongly recommend the "Muqueca de Camarão" (a typical Bahia dish with shrimps) - which is undescribable (the "half portion" is enough for me and my boyfriend). To drink, try the "Caipisurpresa". Alguidares is... More

The food is great. Price is too high. Ambient is regular. Service is regular too (for example, asked for a bottled water. It came with a dirt in glass. Asked waiter to change it and she only changed the glass hehehe)

Truth is: food is great but price is too high. Is it a place for tourists see waiters in bahiana costume, and enjoy the food. Price for 2 persons was US$110, R$220.

This is actually my favorite bahian food restaurant outside Bahia. Great environment, great price, great food, lobsters, fish, pepper, sauces. Amazing.

Welcome to Alguidares, an authentic Brazilian seafood house. Although it is located in Belo Horizonte, capital of Minas Gerais, Alguidares is known for serving the best typical dishes from Bahia, in a cheerful and relaxed atmosphere. Our mission is to provide a tasty food prepared with highly selected ingredients and served in a cozy atmosphere. The waitresses, waiters and bartenders, dressed in typical costumes from "Bahia", are always happy to serve our costumers well and to make them feel as if they were in the “Pelourinho”.Come and check out the delightful cuisine of one of the most awarded restaurants in town.
