This bar is on the BR101, the coast road that runs from Santos to Rio. It’s not a fancy place to look at but I would definitely recommend you stop here, and try some of the different types of pastel(fried pastry). Many places in the...coast of Brazil sell pastels that are mostly filled with air. The pastels here are really well filled and very tasty, I would recommend the shrimp(Camarão), the ham and cheese and spicy sausage(Calabresa). For something more substantial, the shrimp soup with rice(Bobó de Camarão) is really filling and very tasty. It is not cheap but it’s worth it...enjoy.More

We stopped for a quick lunch on our way to Paraty. Delicious typical Brazilian Pastel which like an empanada. Highly recommend you don’t skip dessert and try the Nutella banana pastel!

It is a very simple mom & pap restaurant in a highway. Good pastel and that is it. Not a destination. If you happen to be passing by, have a pastel.

Delicious fried Brazilian dumplings (pastels) full of fillings. We made a mistake to ask for a proper main course after a few pastels. We ate too much. Very large portion that serves three of four. And I was with 6 beefy gay friends. The beer...has to be colder though. The bar is called Chuveiro, because they have this huge shower in front of it to refresh the clients. With so few options of food, it is a great option to have lunch when traveling around Angra.More

Bar do Chuveiro - "Shower bar" - has an outdoor huge shower right at the main entrance of the restaurant, which is located right on the road that links Rio de Janeiro to Paraty. All this could lead to the conclusion that the places would...not deserve much attention. Big mistake. Even if you have no plans of showering in front of the other guests (what is indeed delicious, not for the others watching, but for the fresh and very cold water that comes down directly from the mountains behind the restaurant!), you'll probably enjoy this place, either for their famous "pastels" or their seafood plates, like the "Fish fillet with Shrimp sauce". If you're near, stop here. If not, come anyway. Crowded on rush hours, on weekends. Closes at 9PM.More

Great food, the pastel (their specialty) is a must, and of course the "bobó de camarão" is worth it. The service is not good as the place is tight and usually crowded. Patience is needed. Great experience overall.

I like their pastel so much. The wrapping is crunchy and filling is also so nice and full. Sweet filling also very nice. For me, the crab meat and prawn is the best. The soup also very delicious. 100 percent recommend to eat there.

easy access and a must on your way to Paraty or heading back to Rio! Good pastries with various fillings. Good fish and pasta dishes. Poor salads and drinks. Service so so. Prices have gone up recently!

I think its the most delicious pastel I've ever had in my life... and they're really full and in a good size. The price is fair for the quality. The only downside of the place is that they take tooooooo long to serve you... maybe...30min for a bunch of pasteis (and that even in a regular day). But I still think its worth it!More

If you are visiting Angra dos Reis and want to try a traditional / typical "fast-food" dish you may enjoy Bar do Chuveiro. The place is modest and quite simple, but the pastel is delicious. Pastel is best describe by a fried pasty, that can...be either salty or sweet. The restaurant serves a variety of filling flavors, such as shrimp, crab, ground beef, chicken, cheese, jerky etc.More

A good place to go for simple/typical Brazilian food, the "pastel", where you can also have a cold shower that has been placed in front of the bar and which is shared by all the customers. Just keep your bathing suit on, of course!
