If you are in Rio, even if you're not a tourist (which is my case) you'll certainly enjoy this place. Impeccable architecture which makes you feel inside some other time. The afternoon tea is highly recommended!! Not cheap, but extraordinary and delicious!

Beautiful old building. Well worth a visit. Amazingly good value and yummy food. You do need to line up to get in usually. In a nice part of Rio. Great Havianna shop opposite as well. The best one I found.

Our tour guide recommended for lunch as the place to go for lunch, as it caters for all requirements, with take away or sit down snacks or meals. The decor is breathtaking with the huge victorian era wooden mirrored walls. Service was extremely good given...More

The place is beautiful and very charming, but it's not worth it for food. Just go there, take some pictures, but don't stay for lunch. Not worth the queue nor the time. We've ordered a a deep friend chicken ball, a mini shrimp tart, and...More

The Confeitaria is a classic - the building itself and many of the pieces exposed all around are part of Rio de Janeiro's history as capital of Brazil and how the European culture and lifestyle was exported there. However, if you are in a short...More

Beautiful & Elegant. They have two in Rio. One is in Copacabana, by the coast. The view is amazing and they service a nice breakfast buffet all day long. So, if planning to spoil someone with a gr8 view, go to Colombo Copacabana. The Colombo...More

Do your self a favor go take some photos. Do not sit down to drink or eat. Over priced, dirty knife, bent forks and mismatched cutlery. Besides the old school finishes the place lacks a lot.

Downtown Rio is the place where this city was born.
With modern skyscrapers sharing space with historical
buildings and landmarks, this neighbourhood is living
proof that the old and the new can live together
harmoniously. As you would expect, downtown is where
all major companies house their offices. However, the
region isn’t restricted to businesses. Gems such like
the “Paço Imperial,” which is a cultural centre that
