I had to experience a drink at Confeitaria Colombo, the oldest coffee shop in Rio De Janairo. And I must say that it was amazing. The decor inside the coffee shop gives out old world charm with the mirrors and the amazing interior. And the...More

Super service in this most traditional and impressive of coffee shops. Incredible glass, pannelling and mirrors make it a must-visit location if you are in the centre of rio. Enjoy the fantastic nibbles and cakes. Best of all, no wifi!!

Prices are at least 30% above the normal, lines are usually big and the food is bellow average. They live on the past glory of their name, just that.

I have visited Confeitaria Colombo a few times in the past. After some years, I came back. The place continues to be an experience. The late 19th century salon, mirrors, glass ceiling, and the upstairs restaurant in this old environment are a nice change of...More

Busy, bustling, beautifully decorated, ornate features, delicious food and great drinks..but the service is slow and this lets the experience down. Perhaps a few more waiting staff would be useful. The food was delicious and reasonably priced.

Nice atmosphere and good pastries. If all you want is coffee, a street-side cafe is just as good. This does provide restrooms.

Amazing interior allows this establishment to compete with the best and grand cafes. You can order food from the counter or be seated and have you order taken. Nice local specialties and drink, decent coffee. Good service

Downtown Rio is the place where this city was born.
With modern skyscrapers sharing space with historical
buildings and landmarks, this neighbourhood is living
proof that the old and the new can live together
harmoniously. As you would expect, downtown is where
all major companies house their offices. However, the
region isn’t restricted to businesses. Gems such like
the “Paço Imperial,” which is a cultural centre that
