This is a lovely romantic restaurant in beautiful Santa Theresa. It's off the beaten path and away from the high energy (sometimes noisy) places found in ipanema and copacabana. The food was very good. If you are on a diet and counting calories this isn't...More

Cafecito is a very beautiful restaurant hidden in the neighborhood of Santa Theresa! In the middle of trees, you will eat delicious dishes (don't be sharp, they don't often have everything written on the menu, but you'll forgive them easily because its really good). The...More

I totally recommend Cafecito...I always take my friends there, it is a good chance to talk about life with our friends. It is a wonderful meeting point in a colonial building. Gorgeous place and amazing food. I also love to go there and work with...More

Lousy coffee with meh service. Upstairs serves dinner and downstairs is the cafe. So you can't have cappuccino upstairs.

My experience of Cafecito has been excellent. Staff was attentive and eager to please despite the language barrier. We were in Rio for a few days and we had most of our evening meals there. Loved them salmon linguini and pizzas. Highly recommend this place.

Very cool restaurant. It's worth it just for the ambiance. I recommend going up the the third floor and sitting outside. For ambiance it's the best place in Santa Teresa.

Great coffees and variety that was a bit more pricey than a regular coffee shop, but so WORTH IT. This coupled with a side of acai mixed with honey and granola was a must (pictures included). The only downside is the service - not really...More

We had dinner here, the hostess of our b&b recommended the cafecito as a nice café. So, we thought the restaurant might also be. Even though the place is lovely as such, the waiter didn't know anything about the menu and was completely unable to...More

My friend and I stumbled across this place while roaming through Santa Teresa on a Saturday evening and what a great find! The servers were very attentive and they had a live jazz band on the evening we went. The food and drinks were excellent,...More

Santa Teresa
Santa Teresa is a bohemian enclave hosting many local
artists’ studios. The narrow, winding streets of this
neighbourhood were revitalised years ago, and visitors
can now stroll through this area to view magnificent
mansions dating back to the late 19th and early 20th
century. A highlight not miss: Museu Chacará do Céu, a
former mansion turned museum which houses works by
prominent Brazilian modern artists.
