Went there with my family to celebrate my mom's 78 birthday on a Tuesday night. Only 2 out of 4 restaurants were serving food, and not all choices in the menu were available. At the end of the dinner we were informed that NO deserts were available. I called the manager and informed about the birthday, requesting him to provide... More

This place is just on the heart of Rio! Next to Ipanema, Leblon and Jardim Botânico the Lagoon restaurant is located at the Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas. "Lagoa" means lagoon so that explains the name. You will find three kind of restaurants on the top floor with a spectacular view. Choose a table on the balcony and you won't regret... More

We went for lunch in a sunny beautiful saturday. Our option was to take lunch at the balcony where they have a special menu with a variety of all restaurants of the Laggon. I took a parmesan crosted chicken with palm heart fettucine and for desert a "tapioca" sweet (a brazilian product made from manioc flour) tapped of coconut syrup... More

I know that place for a long time and always liked the food, the view and the service. The only thing still good is the view. Service was lousy ("if you want to order something you need to raise your hand"). And the starter was far beyond expectations (Squid with Vatapata). The main dishes were ok, the wine on the... More

A busy place with many choices of various dishes from several different theme restaurants. A great place to visit for a late lunch and drinks, where one can sit outside in the shade.

I rarely write bad reviews, but I couldn't let this go. We were apparently the first customers of the day (bad sign) when we sat down for lunch at 1pm. The hostess had to go grab a cook from a different restaurant to come prepare our sushi (another bad sign). We ordered one large sushi platter for the table, and... More

Sat outside overlooking the lake - unfortunately it was raining at the time (seating all completely covered) but I reckon it would be a brilliant place for a sunset meal. If you sit outside, you get a choice from 4 different restaurants - the food is slightly pricey for what it is but is delicious anyway!

Lagoon is an area with a number of restaurants which seem a bit westernised. We got some good food there, but in terms of normal Rio prices, it was expensive. We had better meals in local areas in Ipanema.

Visited at lunchtime, and only 1 other table occupied, so should have realised there could be a problem ! Half my wife's meal arrived and was finished, before my daughter got hers, then it took another 20 minutes for the rest of my wife's meal to arrive. After an hour, we asked them just to cancel my meal as it... More

I was eating in the restaurant for a period of 3/4 hours enjoying the view from the terrace and some of my friends temporarily left to go downstairs. Just after they left the bill was left to me even though I hadn't requested it. When my friends returned they informed me that the manager was quite rude as they went... More
