The ambiance, the food and wine at Zaza's bistrot are splendid. I would say go there and experience for yourself.

I never visit Rio without having at least one meal at Zaza; the menu changes very often and I never have to eat the same dish. Apart from the delicious menu of fresh food with many healthy options, the atmosphere is by far the best of any restaurant in Rio. Just two blocks from the beach of Ipanema it is... More

I'm back again to this amazing restaurant! Food and service were pristine! I highly recommend this restaurant for Brazilians and foreigners. They have English menu and the food is very creative, using Brazilian ingredients and contemporary trends.

I stumbled across this place while I was looking for a light lunch in Ipanema. I was nicely welcomed and installed in the very pleasant outdoor area. Since I wasn't so hungry I only had a cocktail and a seafood ceviche. Food and drinks arrived quickly, which is appreciable at lunchtime. The cocktail was just ok, but the ceviche on... More

Basically, if you're from Sydney, London, Paris, NYC don't expect try same quality of service or food for prices we know. Service was unbelievably slow (beyond belief actually) and we still were charged 15%... More

hi Emily, We are sorry you found Zaza expensive on your budget. We`ll have to disagree with you on the comparison to other cities, as the Australian dollar has weakened in the last 2 years, meaning that things abroad will seam more expensive to you. Were you to go to London, NYC or SF you would feel the same sticker... More

Zaza is a cute, intimate spot to do some people watching during busy months Nice decor although food was not spot on at all. Our mains came out whilst the entree was still on the table, barely touched. Clumsy or fumbling would be how my wife and I would describe the service, no attention to detail. We had to wave... More
