Recomended by friends from Brazil, didnt regret. Great atmosphere of a family business for dozens of years. Famous for the fries, but had a great plate dinner , sort of all you can eat. Eating fresh fish was something totally different than in Europe. Find...the spot and you will seeMore
We came here after a walk through the rain and were drenched through. We were given free cachaca and espresso, and they kept the restaurant open for us while we waited for our Uber afterwards. The atmosphere inside is fantastic, as well as the food....The owners were so kind and lovely to us, I just can not recommend coming here more!!More
This place is known for its fried fish and pirao which is highly recommend. They are right on the beach with a view of the fishing boats which makes for a spectacular view at such a great price. The history is awesome and make sure...you leave a note!More
It was a nice place to eat, but today what attracts attention is the price, the food is the same that is always served throughout the Island, lots of frying, fish and seafood without much inspiration. There is a parking in front of the restaurant,...on the sand, this is very uncomfortable for the eyes and well being on the beach.More
Nothing prepared me for this quaint seafood restaurant by the coast. Their buffet had an incredible selection of great tasting seafood dishes. If you care to leave a note they will tape it on the roof or walls. Great views of the beach!
There is an anomaly in the TRIPADVISOR rating and ranking. This place should be way up in the top 10 restaurants and bars in Santa Catarina island (often confused with the city of Florianopolis).
"Bar and Restaurante do Arante" has history, authenticity and character. The...food of the island, (Acores Island immigrants heritage) is not the most sophisticated cuisine on earth but it is what is. Service is friendly for a place that receives many people. I was there on Sunday and went for the buffet. There was a nice music band (jazzy). Seafood is always a risk and every traveler should know how to assess depending on the context and everyone's tastes and sensitivity. Prices are reasonable.More
