Unfortunately my second chance was even worse. I ordered a medium cappuccino and it came in a large cup which the waitress explained that it was only the cup but the quantity was of a medium size. When I checked to pay the bill, they charged a large. The attendant cancelled my order and added the right size. But didn't... More

After being sold to a large corporation this once sensational bakery is dead. No more of the great breads and cakes, no more of the hot croissant filled with ham and cheese. The food magic of the great chef is gone forever, a real loss for those like me enjoy quality food. The service and food quality were unmatched but... More

Benjamim Abraão was a small, family-owned chain of bakeries. I believe it had two locations. It was known locally for their excellent bread, breakfast, and friendly service. Some time ago, however, they were bought out by an investment company, which introduced a number of changes. The new owners opened some new locations, revamped the stores, and changed some products. None... More

R$14.90 for almost burnt eggs. Asked them to change it and they brought me the same thing again. They changed their layout and the service is a lot better. But the food... not the same anymore. Their chocolate filling used in cakes and sweet breads does not taste like chocolate. I more of flower, foodcolouring and butter or something. On... More

I used to come here before their makeover and returned for the first time after. It's nicer. Cozier, with a tidier look, less chaotic. However, service has slowed down too. Their chocolate croissant remains one of the finest things I've ever tasted. Do not - I repeat - do not leave this place until you've tasted it. It eats all... More

I've visited this bread house for 20 years, after their renovation which they reopened recently, the service has fallen drastically. It takes longer to get your orders when in the past you could take it immediately. The variety of breads has fallen with the new opening and by the time I reached the register to pay, there were more orders... More

This bakery used to be a great choice for breakfast in São Paulo. In the last two experiences I was very disappointed due to the poor service and the appearance of the space related to cleaning aspects. In addition, two refrigerators weren't working and it seemed the bakery was closed.

If you want a quick and tasty meal, go to this bakery. Amid so many options of snacks and sanduiches, my favorite continues being the Tapioca (original Brazilian food) with white cheese.

For R$20 you can have an all-you-can-eat afternoon tea with unlimited coffee and juices. Some of the pastries seem a little old/dry, but generally its all good. Staff are pleasant and attentive, and generally it is a nice quiet place to meet wih friends.

This smart bakery in a pleasant residential area has an upstairs cafe where you can have sandwiches, juices, coffee, etc. In the afternoon they have an 'all-you-can-eat' buffet which is incredible value at 21.40 Reals. For this, there is a great selection of hot and cold savouries/sandwiches, sweet treats and fruit and you can also drink as much fruit juice... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Higienopolis
Elegant, charming and filled with green spaces, Higienópolis is an upper-class residential neighbourhood with great restaurants, interesting cultural institutions and fine shopping. Visit Buenos Aires Park, a dog-friendly and safe place to relax during the day. There you can get a feel for the local life, as it’s not a mainstream tourist destination. For dining, Vilaboim Square is a trendy place with tasty food and a nice bar environment for happy hour. Walk a few blocks and you’ll come to Higienópolis Shopping Mall, where luxury shops (and also some affordable stores) are a favourite distraction for locals.
