The restaurant is managed by Iskon temple trust and is very good option for vegetarians. They serve ONLY VEGETARIAN FOOD. They serve fixed menu with Indian and Italian options to chose from. The food is very tasty. Service is fast because of fixed menu. The prices are very reasonable. We payed 41 BRL per person. Over all, a must try for... More

The restaurant is still good after all these years. Exotic spices... The menu brings salad, starter, main course and dessert, plus juice for just R$ 35.00. Very worth it. Just avoid the queues from noon.

Gopala is a pleasant, simple and delicious little restaurant. It's not Brazilian and it's not Indian, it's a delicious combination of the two. Choose on of the day's menus and enjoy.

Maybe we need to get the issue of Indian or not Indian out of the way right away: as far as I know, the food is not Indian. But that does not make it a poor restaurant. The place serves correct vegetarian fare inspired by Indian food. It is simple, inexpensive, and decent food. It is weird, but there are... More

Arrive early cause the lines can get pretty long during lunch hour. Every day the menu changes, and there two daily meal options , great and affordable food. You can order the large or smaller size, and you can order half of each daily specials in case you want try both dishes. Cash only.

One of my best delights in the city is the gastronomy! I know… I know… Sinner! But I cannot avoid so many good restaurants and lovely places to go with affordable prices. You don’t need to sell your kidney in order to have a nice gastronomic tour in this city. Of course, if you can afford, go to the famous... More

Went for lunch today. After about 45 minutes in line I get the table... The food is very mediocre. You get apple pie for desert! If you looking for Indian food please avoid this... It's just vegetarian but not Indian

No way close to INDIAN food at all . Just by putting rose petals and photos of Indian Gods and naming the restaurant after a INDIAN God ... Do not expect anything great ...they have created there own cuisine which is no way close to INDIAN food . Utter rubbish ...

The food here was not great. I am Indian and was looking for something close to home on my travels. I don't know what they served us but it was not Indian food having grown up with a whole variety of dishes from various regions of India. There was no spice, nor was it prepared like any Indian food I... More

Great value for money. Tatsty food. Always very crowded, but worth arriving early or waiting for. Well located, close to Paulista Avenue and Augusta's surroundings.

Staying in Consolacao

Neighbourhood Profile
Consolação lies between the old historical centre of the city and busy Paulista Avenue. It’s surrounded by the fancy Higienópolis neighbourhood, which makes it a very diverse place. The nightlife along Augusta Street offers visitors a variety of options to dine, dance and be entertained. Roosevelt Square, Consolação's main meeting point, is surrounded by fringe theaters and has become a popular skateboarding area. Right across the street from the square is the elevated highway known as “Minhocão.” Though it is busy with car traffic all week, it shuts down every weekend and becomes a leisure spot right in the middle of the city.
