We are very content to have chosen this restaurant for lunch in a very hot summer day.Excellent food, tables in a deep shade, near the river, very fast service, very kind staff.
We are going to come again for sure

I just got back from 3 day stay with my family at the private rural guesthouse called "Ribarnika" at the Hitar Petar Complex. Wow! We had a wonderful stay in this rural paradise. We rented the whole house that comes with a fantastic swimming pool BBQ area, fully equippes outdoor kitchen and an eco-path leading from the house up the mountain to a Thracian Tomb and some beautiful views. Breakfast is included and is brought up to the house by a staff member on an ATV. We also ordered "room service" and had lunch delivered to us so we could enjoy it at the pool. The best thing was that we could fully disconnect as there is no cell phone coverage and only two WiFi spots in the area. We had such a wonderful time and we will be back with a group of friends to enjoy more time at Ribarnika and in the area! Highly recommended!

Yesterday we were at the restaurant and the food and the service was good. Today we decided to go for lunch but one girl from the staff(unfortunately they do not have badges with names but the girl with the glasses and with brown hair) was extremely rude. The table was not reserved people were just leaving and she just said that we can not sit there.
Great experience the first time but we will not go third time :D

After a trip to reach Chiflika town seated to eat in Hitar Petar mehana. Great meals , good service, nice local decorated place .

If you are hungry, this is the best place to satiate your hunger. Original, romantic, beautiful, cool in the summer heat, as it is located by the river, the cuisine is traditional Bulgarian and is excellent! Don't miss it!

This is the best tavern/restaurant in the area. Everything is fresh and absolutely delicious - the bread, the vegetables, the meat, everything.
The atmosphere is authentic and makes you feel like home - looking at the river and having a tasty meal is simply amazing.
I would definitely go back again.

Tasty, in a great place. Very original restaurant located around a river. In traditional style. Each time we travel around the area - we stop to eat there.

Great location , nice interieur, service not great, food not the best camparing with other local restaurants. We wouldn't be back there.

The guesthouse is located on the banks of a river in a mountainous area. Offers authentic traditional Bulgarian cuisine. I recommend stuffed peppers and bread rolls called "vratka".

A traditional restaurant and hotel. If you want a little slice of real/ old times then stay here. A very nice room, as shown in the picture , fabulous real log fire. Food was delicious. Defiantly try the warm Rakia. I would recommend here and I would certainly go back. Price a little step for Bulgaria however.

Very nice and comfortable place. Bulgarian national food from own bio farm milk and other products. It is good to seat near to the river and feel the fresh air from the Troyan mountains.

Most of the products they use in the kitchen are home grown, you could totally say just judging by the taste. Both meat and fish were amazing. Try the tomato salads!

The food (typical Bulgarian menu) is excellent, some of it is grown/made right on location. It is by the river and has plenty of diversions (including a short zip line) for kids to play and entertain themselves. Despite being kid-friendly keep in mind that they do not have baby chairs if you are with little ones. Service is ok - in this region of Bulgaria you will not get the care and attention one gets used to in more service-oriented cultures, but the waiter was polite, the food arrived quickly - we had no complaints. It's a good place to stop by for a meal if going by.
