This is a wonderful cafe to hang out and chill over a beer or excellent coffee. Very good mix of Western dishes (my kids especially liked the Beef Cheese Burger) with Spanish options and delicious Asian food. Some other reviewers say the dishes are expensive, but I'd rather eat here and donate as its a social enterprise than go anywhere!... More

I don't get why this place is in the cheap eats category. For Battambang it is very overpriced and pretty limited menu. Their panini is actually an open baguette. No coffee on the menu. Nice shop downstairs and the interior is really nice but not what I expected after reading the reviews

When you enter The Lonely Tree Cafe you are surrounded by an assortment of Handcrafts, mostly clothing, that are for sale. So where's the restaurant? It's up a flight of wooden stairs. The room is long and narrow, surrounded by bare brick walls and some nice simple artwork for decoration. For some reason, it is a comfortable space. There are... More

We came to this restaurant three times in two days as we stayed at the BTB hostel down the road. We have been traveling around Asia for 5 weeks and craving some tasty western food for awhile but always found very average stuff. We ordered the chicken burger with fries and it was very yummy and exactly what we were... More

We were there for dinner and our dishes were excellent. Ask for the homemade pepper salt mixture, which perfectly suits to your dish. We also had a lime tarte, which was awesome. The interior is wonderful, we five meter high ceiling upstairs creates a great atmosphere. Staff is very polite and friendly.

We only got to taste the burgers which were excellent. There's a terrace with two tables where you can enjoy some fresh air. The craft shop on the ground floor sell nice clothes and jewellery and the benefit goes to a charity/disabled children.

This is a lovely, small restaurant built in the French style serving good food and wine. The best thing is that by dining here you are also helping less able Cambodian young people, with physical, learning or home difficulties. The profit goes to helping these people. Nice shop at ground level. The restaurant is on the second floor (reached by... More

We have been appointed to this Spanish style restaurant for a friends that are working as volunteers in Battambang in some Non-profit organization to help Cambodian people. And really we have been surprised: delicious Gazpacho soup (really closer to a Salmorejo soup), well done "huevos rotos" with a soft fried potatoes and finally a rice Cuban style that have reminded... supports disadvanteged young khmer people. the little balcony on the 1st flor is nice - beware the tricky narrow steps & ruthless smokers! it's 1 of my favorite places for happy hour - after 4pm - for a glass of wine & dumplings.

The great thing about eating at the Lonely Tree cafe is that the money you pay goes towards a great cause and there's a shop underneath that has some really nice items. The food itself is of a really high quality. The meat is more similar to western quality than what you would normally find in Cambodia. All really tasty.... More
