Disappointed that chips and salsa were not provided prior to our entrees. Atmosphere was loud and service was slower and not as attentive as expected. Margs are always good and have never been disappointed by the appetizers. Our entrees were tasty, but gave us mild stomach issues hours after.

Great meal for adults and the kiddos! The guac was great and had a nice kick to it. The kids less bed the corn! A wonderful place with so many options for vegetarians and really great service!

Very good dinner. Good service Excellent tacos and enchiladas. The guacamole was very chunky and fresh. Great place for couples or a small gathering.

Although you will more than likely have to wait, it is well worth it as El Barrio doesn't take reservations. That being said, the food and drinks is unique instead of your typical fare. Try the jalapeno infused spicy margarita and pair it with the seasonal guacamole. We had guacamole with pomegranate, pecans and bacon. Not a typo and was... More

So close to great Mexican food. Much, too much sugar used in the preparations. The chips are extra sweet. The crema was reminiscent of key lime pie, but sweeter. Also the the smokey salsa offered with the tacos was much too sweet as well. El Barrio is a hip and happening spot. Expect a wait. It's very popular with the... More

The line for this place is often really long, but that's because it's worth it! There are multiple things for vegans to eat, but I kept it simple, ordering the chips and salsa, and as an entree, the vegan tostada. The chips and salsa were pretty standard, a little too much cilantro for me (as most Mexican restaurants are), but... More

"Let's eat Mexican!" was the overwhelming vote among friends. We had heard about El Barrio and was told to try the meatloaf! Seriously?!?!?! Meatloaf? Oh, yeah-my choice! The presentation was beautiful! The waiter was so helpful in helping us select an appetizer- seasonal guacamole dip! We all selected a different entree and no one left disappointed! The artsy area of... More

We decided on El Barrio before a concert at the Alabama Theater. Upon arrival, we were offered a seat at a community table or a wait of fifteen minutes for a two seat table. We waited. And it was so worth the wait! Margarita was good, but a bit weak. I usually order the enchiladas, which are very good, but... More

Well worth the wait! Fantastic goat cheese quesadillas. Salsa is fresh and thick! Love the vibe! Great service as well.
