They have so many types of pancakes that it is hard to decide. And, if you don't want pancakes, there's steak and eggs, corned beef and great sides! Just about anything you would want for breakfast. If you get there between 7 and 8 A.M., you can avoid the line.

Best Vegetable Omelette in the State! The sides are always fresh and the pancakes are light and fluffy. The service is very consistent. This is an old restaurant, but it's never let me down.

Birmingham is a breakfast town and this is one great place to enjoy that reputation. The tile-top tables, bright colors, and tables of college students, downtowners and tourists gives the Pancake House a great vibe.

Original Pancake House provides friendly and excellent service, as well as a fabulous selection of pancakes & waffles. Great southern recipes that look yummy and taste even better. Great coffee, and breakfast sides aplenty!

The Original Pancake House is one of those restaurants that will make you take detour just to eat there, you know what I mean? There are so many things on the menu we wanted to try, it's incredible. I had the Swedish pancakes, which are hard to describe, but are like super thin crepes without filling that have crispy edges.... More

Disappointed . Pancakes, I think we're better at the IHOP. Nothing terribly remarkable that would make me want to come back. Service was good though and so was coffee- but nothing extraordinary unfortunately. I wanted it to be amazing.

I ordered the Pigs in the Blanket (Pancake wrapped sausage). It had a nice lemon sauce and lots of butter. It was yummy.

I had the chocolate chip pancakes, and I inhaled them. They were fantastic. They were soft and buttery and sincerely fabulous. My mother... Well... we were there for her 61st birthday because they had the only apple pancake in town, and she was jonesing for a taste of her childhood. You have to wait for this item, and that was... More

A wonderful breakfast during our stay in Birmingham! I had to have the Dutch Baby. Takes awhile to make one, but well worth the wait. Others had the pancakes and loved them!
