I have been here several times over the years. The quality of service and food is quite good along with a great selection of wine. But recently, when I have stayed at the Winfrey it seems to be closed. Sunday and Monday they tell me... shame.

My family of four had an amazing meal ! The prices are up there but they are worth it. Can't go wrong if you want to have a great steak. The only "average" thing we had was the mac and cheese. I have had better. Will eat here again!

While staying at the hotel for a business conference, we had dinner at Shula's as all other eating establishments were in the mall food court save for the completely deserted hotel bar located at mall entry. As for Shula's, the menu on a football is awkward, and a bit silly. The food was pretty good and we had excellent service.... More

Inside the Hyatt, amazing service and the taste of the food was as expected for a Shula. Drinks were very tasty.

Top quality steaks. The waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and was attentive without making too many visits. Watch out for the bread, it's addictive! The price is comparable to all the high-end steak houses, so expect to drop about $75 per person for food and a couple of cocktails. It's was early on in the day so there was... More

This was my 2nd attempt to eat at Shulas. Both times were a disaster. Staff rude. They treat you like you are an inconvenience. Store had no customers. Food was awful. I'm very disappointed that this is a restaurant that is now affiliated with Hyatt Hotels. I hope things won't be slipping at Hyatts now .

Shula's Steak House is a great place to go if you have something special to celebrate. The sides are served family style so make sure everyone in your party knows that so you can all order different sides to share. And everything is a la carte - that means the final tab will be high even if you don't order... More

Just ate dinner with another couple at Shula's. It was absolutely awful. I had the Kansas City steak and it was tough as nails and my wife had the Sea Bass which was like a piece of rubber. The grilled asparagus was bitter and inedible and the mushrooms tasted like they were straight out of the can. The restaurant was... More

We LOVE Shula's! Great romantic dinner place. Not the kinda place you go if you want to look at menu prices. If spending money stresses you out then you won't be able to enjoy the meal or the ambiance. My husband and I try to go 1 to 2 times a year as "our special place".... We started off with... More

Shula’s Steak House is the classic American steakhouse: a fine dining white tablecloth restaurant. In order to be the best steak house, Don Shula followed the same principles that made him the winningest coach in football history - select the best talent available and give them the resources they need to succeed. In the restaurant business, that meant serving Premium Black Angus Beef® steaks, the best beef money can buy and providing our restaurant team with the best training. In terms of our restaurant team, he ran it like a sports team. In sports, one's performance is based on results - either you win or lose. The same is true for our restaurant team. Our managers are called Head Coaches and they have the authority to manage the team as they see fit to ensure repeated winning seasons. Our custom center cuts of Premium Black Angus Beef® steaks accompanied with our aging process make up our award winning SHULA CUT ® , the best beef money can buy. Our custom cuts and aging process are the highest in the industry. You won't find a better steak anywhere. Our restaurant is themed after the 1972 Miami Dolphins' "Perfect Season" - the only team in NFL history to finish a season undefeated. The menus are hand painted on an official NFL game football. At Shula's Steak Houses, one of the featured entrees is the 48-Ounce Porterhouse. Those who finish it join Shula's 48-Ounce Club, which currently has more than 26,000 members. I invite you to experience Shula's Steak House, where we only offer the biggest and the best. Shula’s Steak House Birmingham is a proud recipient of Wine Spectator’s 2011 Award of Excellence. With over 150 wines in our collection and a knowledgeable staff, we can help you select the perfect pairing to compliment your meal.
