Its proper courtesy to greet patrons as they enter your establishment. Pro tip: They'll appreciate it more if you actually smile as well. The waitstaff was nice and attentive. Food was okay.

Decent steak house, but nothing special. Not much to differentiate from Ruth's Chris or Flemings here in Birmingham. Service was good, but steaks were nothing special.

They have menus outside of the restaurant and i misread the lunch menu for dinner. the prices and offerings are higher at night but i was able to make it work - i had a wedge salad with blackened tenderloin and 2 glasses of a delicious red blend. the tenderloin tips were cooked to perfection with a yummy bearnaise on... Took my boyfriend for his birthday. Great atmosphere, service, and food. We enjoyed a nice bottle of Decoy Merlot. We split a caesar salad ( dressing was perfect!) then had the Kansas City Strip -like a NY Strip-but bone in, scallops, the crab mac n cheese, and spit the apple cobbler w/ice cream. OUTSTANDING! I've eaten at some of the... More

Went to Shulas for a business lunch with some colleagues. We choose Shulas because it was a special occasion. I have rarely had such poor service and food that was awful. It took 15 minutes to get water, another 15 minutes to get glasses of tea, and then 45 minutes to get our lunch. We each ordered a steak medium... More

I have eaten here maybe 5 times. The first time was excellent although I had 3 fewer children than I have now (to put the time into perspective). The next two time were progressively less than events. The fourth was not memorable and the latest seems to show the downward spiral has at least taken a respite. I had the... More

We had the crab cake appetizer and the lobster bisque soup. They were horrible. Our friends order bake potatoes with their steaks. Besides the portions that... More

Very poor service. Waiter had attitude and acted like he did not want to be there. We all (4) agreed the steaks were not just substandard, but terrible. This was a total rip off.

Worst service ever! Waited 20 minutes between drinks and 30 for the final bill! Complained to the GM who did nothing! Go somewhere else! Steaks were tasteless!

For my wife's birthday, we, along with our closest friends, went to Shula's for dinner. We had a reservation but it likely would not have mattered. Our wait staff attended to our needs expediently. I had the cowboy ribeye and my wife had a filet. Both steaks were perfect and the side dishes (twice baked potato and roasted corn) were... More

Shula’s Steak House is the classic American steakhouse: a fine dining white tablecloth restaurant. In order to be the best steak house, Don Shula followed the same principles that made him the winningest coach in football history - select the best talent available and give them the resources they need to succeed. In the restaurant business, that meant serving Premium Black Angus Beef® steaks, the best beef money can buy and providing our restaurant team with the best training. In terms of our restaurant team, he ran it like a sports team. In sports, one's performance is based on results - either you win or lose. The same is true for our restaurant team. Our managers are called Head Coaches and they have the authority to manage the team as they see fit to ensure repeated winning seasons. Our custom center cuts of Premium Black Angus Beef® steaks accompanied with our aging process make up our award winning SHULA CUT ® , the best beef money can buy. Our custom cuts and aging process are the highest in the industry. You won't find a better steak anywhere. Our restaurant is themed after the 1972 Miami Dolphins' "Perfect Season" - the only team in NFL history to finish a season undefeated. The menus are hand painted on an official NFL game football. At Shula's Steak Houses, one of the featured entrees is the 48-Ounce Porterhouse. Those who finish it join Shula's 48-Ounce Club, which currently has more than 26,000 members. I invite you to experience Shula's Steak House, where we only offer the biggest and the best. Shula’s Steak House Birmingham is a proud recipient of Wine Spectator’s 2011 Award of Excellence. With over 150 wines in our collection and a knowledgeable staff, we can help you select the perfect pairing to compliment your meal.
